*Chapter's 6 through 10*
~~Chapter 6~~
We had just finished eating, and we started for home. It was a nice day, so none
of us minded the walk. Ike even took Bri's hand and they walked hand in
hand down the road. Once at their house we went downstairs to the
practice room. It had white soundproof walls. There were pictures hanging
all over, "for insperation" Taylor had once claimed. There were a couple of
light tan chairs, and a couch to the left that we went to sit on. The
boys were always talking about how they were going to get new furniture.
One day they'd find the time to actually go and do it.
"Here are the songs." Ike said spreading them out on the oak
table. "We've got some melodies to work on, so we'll be doing that."
"OK,"Bri and I answered. Then we got to work. The Hansons were
very talented, but after working so long, they began to miss the obvious
solution to their problems. We fixed their songs the best we could and
took them over for approval. The guys read them over.
"I'd forgotten how good you guys are!" Taylor said, "There are
pretty good."
"Now, let's take a snack break upstairs." Zac said taking the
stairs two at a time. "Me hungry."
We all laughed and followed Zac up the stairs. After getting a
bowl of nacho chips ready and putting some cheese and salsa in the
microwave we sat down at the table and talked. We talked about their music, and a bit
about our writing. We also talked some about the next tour, and how it
will be torture to be apart, especially for Ike and Bri.
"Let's just take them with us." Zac jokingly said, throwing his
arms in the air.
"Now that's a thought." Ike mused, "We just might be able to do
that."
Zac's mouth fell open, and he sat there staring at Ike like Ike
had just lost his mind. Ike was serious. "Ike, I was joking. We don't
have the time, they'd never get to talk with us,and we would loose a ton
of money that we could need real quick. We just couldn't do it."
"Not nessecarily." Taylor said with a thoughtful look on his
face,"We might be able to work it out. I really doubt we're going to need
the money, so that's not even an issue, and with as much as we fly
around, we have time in the planes. When we work, they can help us with
the songs, and insperation."
Zac looked at Ike for sanity. Bri and I glanced in his direction
for the same reason. We didn't think it would be a good idea either. They
just wouldn't have the time. We all saw that there was no hope in Ike, he
was just as caught up in the idea.
"All we need to do is talk with our agent, publicist, and our
parents." Ike said counting the people they needed to talk to, off on his
fingers. "We could get this all taken care of in a few days."
We talked a little bit longer, but there was no hope in knocking
any sense into Ike and Taylor then, so Bri suggested we go for a walk
and get some fresh air. Zac had some school work to do and told us to go
on without him, then he winked at Taylor and hopped out of the room.
Once we got a few yards from the house Bri and Ike waliked ahead.
Ike had his arm around Bri and they were deep in discussion. We figured
they wanted their privacy, so we kept back. After a while Taylor started
talking.
"They're really bonding." Taylor pointed out, "That's why Ike was
so into the idea of you guys coming with us on tour."
"I know. The only reason we're not sure if it's such a good idea
is that you guys really don't have the time now." I answered, "What's your
reason....for wanting us to come so much?"
"You don't know?" Taylor asked looking at me. Our eyes connected
for a brief moment and I looked down.
"Bri mentioned something about you.....and me......." I said
trailing off, still looking in the general direction of my feet.
"What'd she say?" Taylor asked blushing a little.
I looked up at the coulds trying to remember how Bri had put
it." She said that she thought you where going to try to change our
relationship."
"Yeah, Bri's always been really observant." Taylor said, "My reason
is that I would miss you the same way Ike'd miss Bri."
I stopped walking and leaned against a fence. I looked over at
Taylor who'd also stopped, and imemdiatly had a thought about how great he
looked in his blue jeans and t-shirt. I looked back down at my feet. I
found myself wondering when I started looking at Taylor as someone other
than a best friend.
"If you're not OK with this..." Taylor said trying to sound
casual, "Then just tell me, and I'll lay off."
I closed my eyes, thinking about what it would be like to be with
Taylor in a relationship like that. I thought about all of the fun we'd
had together, how well we got along, how much I loved the sound of his
voice. I looked over at him, and he met my eyes. I took a deep breath and
got myself under control.
"Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea for Bri and I to go on tour
with you guys." I said smiling, "And I'm sure you'd make time for your
girlfriend."
He smiled back at me, and took my hand. Then we hurried to catch
up with Bri and Ike to tell them the good news. Weren't THEY going to be
surprised. Well, maybe not Bri, but Ike will be anyway...
~~Chapter 7~~
When Taylor and I started walking to tell Bri and Ike the good news, we
noticed that they were not ahead of us anymore. So we started looking around. I got really panicky because we couldn't find them anywhere. I was scared!
We couldnt find them so we went back to the Hansons House to see if somehow
they got back there.
They were there, in the tree house... kissing. I was so
mad that they did that to me that i just started yelling, Ike and Bri look
kinda scared. I dont think they have ever seen me yell before. I jumped off
the ladder to the tree house and stormed home. I WAS SO MAD AT THEM!
A few
minutes later I heard someone Knocking on my door. It was Taylor. I had
totally forgotten that we were "together". I said I was sorry, and gave him a
hug. He said that Ike and Bri were really sorry and they had no idea that I
would get so scared because I couldn't find them. So we both went back over
to the Hansons House. Ike and Bri were both down stairs getting ready to watch
a movie.
Bri ran over to me and gave me a hug and said "I heard the good
news, Congratulations! And, Ike and I are both sorry we ran off on you guys like that. It won't happen again."
I said thanks and we all decided to watch Stepfather
III (it's a really scary horror movie!). We had never seen this movie before so we were all a little scared. Bri
and Ike sat on the couch and Taylor and I sat on the love seat.
During the
middle of the movie, I looked over and Ike and Bri were totally making out. I mean they
were pretty much sucking each others faces off! I ignored it went on with
watching the movie.
When the movie was over we had to pretty much pry Ike and Bri off
of each other (it was actually quite humorous). It was then time for dinner, and Bri and I had to go home. Tay
and Ike said they would talk to thier parents about letting us go with them on
thier trip. We said good bye, well me and Tay did, but Bri and Ike kissed
goodbye (jeeze! Do they EVER get enough of eachother?).
~~Chapter 8~~
When i woke up the next morning i was in a GREAT mood. I think it rubbed off
onto Bri cause she was in a geat mood herself! We got up and got ready to go
over to the Hanson's house.
When we finally got there (We had to look PERFECT, so it took awhile...)
we all decided to just go for a ride. We really couldnt go to a certain place
because they would get mobbed anywhere they go. We all grabbed some money
(Just in case) and hopped into Ikes silver 4-Runner. I love his car! Bri
and Ike sat in the front and Tay, me, and Zac sat in the back seats. I was so
happy, I love to go on the highway! Dont ask why, but i just love it.
We had
been driving for about and hour and we were all a little restless. We came
upon a little picnic area off a backroad and decided to stop because there
were only a coulpe of old people there. It was so beautiful. There was a view
of a lake there so we all sat down and ate some of the food that we had brought.
Ike
and Bri, and Zac decided to go exploring so me and Tay stayed there. We were
just sitting there talking about how it was so nice where we had stopped, and all of a sudden Taylor reached over and kissed
me. I couldnt believe it. I had dreamed about my first kiss since i can
rememeber. I really didn't know how, so i just did what he did. But then the
other three came back so we had to stop. I think Bri knew cause she started
to laugh and hug me saying she was so happy for me.
It was getting close to
dinner time so we had to get going. We all stood up and walked to the car.
Me and Taylor wer holding hands and so were Ike and Bri. Zac started to
complain about not having a girlfriend. We didnt really know what to tell him,
so we all just got in to the car and headed home. He'd just have to get used to it...
~~Chapter 9~~
The next morning, after Bri and I got to the Hanson's house, we
found out that Zac and the rest of the "clan" had gone somewhere with the Hanson's parents, so it
was just the four of us. We thought we'd try to go down to the
rollerblading rink, and see if we could manage to skate awhile before the
Hansons got mobbed. Bri and I went back to our houses to collect out
skates, then we all got in Ike's car and drove there.
Once there, we put on our skates and headed for the rink. There
were a lot of obsticals, and ramps, and things like that. We all headed
for the smooth flat part where we could get warmed up, then we headed out
to the big league course. We spent the day doing three-sixty's,
practicing grinds, and we even tried a few new jumps. It was great.
None of us wanted to leave, but a couple of girls spotted the guys, and we
had to take off at brake-neck speed to get away from the mob. Then we
all piled back into Ike's car and drove back to the Hanson's house.
"Hey, looks like everyone's home." Taylor said as we pulled into the
drive way, "The car's back in the garage."
"Let's go see where they were!" I said following him into the
house.
We found Zac up in the boy's room with a girl. She was pretty.
She had long brown hair, and big beautiful brown eyes. I sized her up to
be about 5'0.
"Hi guys!" Zac said as we all entered the room. "This is Tara. I
met her at this homeschooling convention."
Zac explained how the two of them had met. Their parents always
go to these conventions for homeschooling to get information on new
teaching tecniques, and they met there. Zac had asked her over, and there
they were.
"I think they're a couple." Bri whispered to me while Ike and
Taylor were talking with Tara.
"They look good together!" I whispered back. Now Zac wouldn't be
left out when we all paired off. I smiled, and Bri and I went over to see
what the others were discussing.
Tara turned out to be quite a nice girl. She got along really
well with us, and she was just as hyper as Zac, so now Zac wasn't alone
when he went into one of his hyper moods. They worked really well
together, and we also discovered that Tara had a talent in writing music.
When it was time for all of us to go home, Ike and Taylor walked
Bri and I back to our houses, and Zac rode with Tara and his mother to
take Tara home. We all watched, and when Zac thought no one was looking,
he gave Tara a kiss on the cheek. Then Taylor kissed me goodnight, and Bri and Ike had thier usual "good-night makeout session", and we all went to
bed, me and Bri at my house again.
~~Chapter 10~~
The next morning, we woke up and it was raining outside. I could tell that it was going to be a boring day right from the start! I looked down and saw Bri reading one of her new books, "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul".
She looked up at me and said, "Finally! You're awake! I'm bored outta my mind and I wanna go see my Ikey-Poos!"
"Ok, Ok!" I said, groggily.
So, we decided to get up and get ready. It was already 11:30am, so we called the Ike and Tay, and Zac and asked if they wanted to come over in an hour and watch a movie. They all said sure, except for Zac because he was going to the mall with Tara (how sweet!). So, I hung up the phone, and within 45 minutes Bri and I were showered, dressed, and ready.
Almost exactly 15 minutes later, Ike and Tay were at the door. They had brought over thier own movie, "Pet Sematary". I knew it was going to be scary, but I also knew I'd have Taylor, right by my side. Taylor and I knew Bri and Ike wouldn't be watching much of it anyways, because they had already ran down to the cellar to grab the love seat, and we knew exactly what they were going to do. We decided to give them a little time alone, so we decided to make some pop-corn. As we were making the snack my mom came in, and said she had invited Mrs. Hanson and Bri's mom over for some coffee. We said Ok, and went downstairs.
We were surprised to see that Bri and Ike weren't sucking eachother's faces off, but simply just cuddling. It was so cute, and I have to say, I was really jealous.
Taylor popped the movie in and we began watching it. About half-way into the movie, I became REALLY thirsty, so I asked everyone if they wanted a drink.
"Can you get us a Coke w/ two straws please?" Ike said as he was looking into Brianna's eyes.
"Yeah, we'll have the same thing, Ok Belle?" Taylor said with a smile.
"Sounds perfect to me." I said, trying to hold back my excitement.
So, I made my way up the stairs into the kitchen. As I got nearer, I could hear my mom, Mrs. Hanson, and Bri's mom, all wispering. I thought that was kind of odd, but I didn't want to butt in, so I just walked right in. Right away, Mrs. Hanson saw me and shushed Bri and I's moms. I couldn't figure out why they were being so secretive, but I decided to talk to Bri about it later...
