The Lighthouse Family have become one of the latest success stories in the music industry emerging in the last few years. Paul Tucker and. Tunde Baiyewu are the talented duo who make up the Lighthouse family have become huge pop-stars as their songs have been hugely recognised for their soul-laden theme.

It all started back in 1995 when the Lighthouse Family released their first major hit 'Lifted'. The catchy song went straight in at number four and became the most played song of 1995. Then success followed with 'Ocean Drive' in 1996 as it was a top 20 hit. Both 'Lifted' and 'Ocean Drive' have both entered radio airplay history and can probably be hummed by every man, women and child in this country!

Then Lighthouse Family released their debut album 'Ocean Drive' in 1996 which wasn't too recognised on it's release. But with some good radio airplay and the success of 'Ocean Drive' and 'Lifted' the album became a huge hit selling over 2 million copies in the UK, reaching it's five times platinum. This launching the Lighthouse family into the premier league of British artists.

In 1996, 'Goodbye Heartbreak' and 'Loving Every Minute' where released and both became top 20 hits. Then the Lighthouse Family hit the road as they toured the UK, on their Ocean Drive tour which was a complete sell-out.

Paul Tucker and Tunde Baiyewu began their second set of music, still on their soul theme but working on new material for their new album, currently flying high in the charts. 'Raincloud' was a huge hit, going straight in at number six and having huge amounts of radio airplay the new album was destined for success.

The new album entitled 'Postcards From Heaven' was released in 1997 and went straight in at number two in the charts. 'Postcards From Heaven' has sold over 1.3 million copies so far and is currently number four in the charts, 17 weeks after release. The Lighthouse Family being no slouches geared up and continued touring in the UK and in December 1997, they released their biggest hit so far. 'High' rocketed straight in at number five in the charts and again it has all their catchy trade-marks - you instantly know who is singing it. 'High' has risen to number four, making it their biggest chart release since 'Lifted'. 'High' has been on radio stations play lists for so long 'High' really did 'Fly high in the sky!'.

So, the Lighthouse Family are currently on tour and will continue to bring us superb music in the future.
