It all fades back now.
As I stand at the bus stop
And start to drown.

And I just want to scream.
After the colapse
I held her.
She trembled and shook.
I knew not what happened.
Fear in her eyes
And then came the tears.
I watched her helplessness
And wispered calm words
Her breathing was quick and sharp.
Her face blackened by running make-up
I seemed calm and quick of judgment
As a cyclone of emotion writhes on the inside.
Ambulance scream.
Repeated questions flow like tangle vines.
Each answer the same as the last one.
Stumble out like the first.
The screaming box of salvation
Takes her from me
And I am left standing all alone.
It all fades back now
As I stand at the bus stop
And start to drown.
I shed the impossible tear
As I remember again...
And I scream.
