Fuck this everyone fucking broke up and blabhblah fuck yer moms but anyway I'll leave this up for ol times sake. HFKP: I tip a 40 to yer memory. It was some good times.
Ahhh punk rawk shows are always fun. It's great to do my punk rawk dance, jump on people, "mosh", and cause general annoyance to the everyone and anyone around. I always end up getting my ass kicked by a guy or getting yelled at, but it's all in good punk rawk fun. Plus, it's fun to annoy sometimes.
Okay, since Harrisburg has such a proud punk rawk scene, I am going to give my opinion on the matter, because I have so much spare time and no way to spend it...I am pathetic. I really need to get out more. I say that Harrisburg has the best punk rawk isolationism scene, not necessicarily the best punk rawk scene.
I took stuff about the allstars down because they broke up. They got back together but I was too lazy to type stuff about them again.
I am on the verge of taking the stuff about the Autogenics down because Garman is a fuckface. But I'll leave it up for now
I have never been more pissed than when I found out that the Belmonts broke up. They were HFKP's only hope. I am going to keep up what I have to say about them as a tribute to them i guess. I really did stalk them I even knew all the words to their songs. OH YES OH YES they got back together it's so great.
Monty Belmonts
Aaah, the infamous logo of the Monty Belmonts. Pretty similar to other logos that I have seen, so let's hear it for their originality. I stole this logo from Schubert's page. Beau Basement is on bass and vocals, Kyle Belmont rips shite up on the drums, and Dan Fantastic plays guitar. I really like this band, despite most of their members. Their tunes are very catchy. Beau does a good job of singing songs about girls he'll never get and love and all that sappy stuff. They kinda remind me of a mix of SW and Ramones. Their tape is excellent, and you should buy it right now. It could only be better if yours truly was singing background vocals. My personal favorites are "Let's Go" "Belmont Stomp" and "Don't Wanna Fight Tonite". They have a new song about zombies and so naturally I like that one.
The Autogenics
Another band from the Harrisburg area is the Autogenics. I can't find any logos or pictures of them to steal, so I guess I'll have to keep looking. For now I put up a picture of...well you see what it is. The Autogenics play a good mix of fast angry type stuff and slower stuff. They kick all kinds of ass. Chuck Allstar does a great job of singing and playing guitar. Ralph Genic plays backup and sings some. Sean plays drums and Brad plays bass. They put on an awesome show, they get the crowd up and moving more than most local bands. They just came out with a cd called "Short, Fast, and to the Point" and it KICKS ASS. Buy it. Maybe if they sell a lot of cds I will finally be able to get my $50 from Garman. I doubt it though.
Fuck, Chuck isn't in the autogenics anymore. He quit for some mysterious reason and Ryan took his place. I would be pissed off, but Ryan has some talent. Enough about this.
This girl looks hauntingly like Brittany Spears...
Full Frontal
Full Frontal is a great punk rawk band. Their main influences are the Riverdales, Screeching Weasel, Teen Idols, Limp, and the Queers. They're not really all that punk rawk, but they do pull back to reveal their punk rawkness on special occasions. The members live in Harrisburg, PA when they aren't at college. The Illustrious Brian Moore plays the bass and sings. Andy "I smoke massive amounts of weed" Stahl plays the guitar and smokes weed. They don't have a drummer because they are too punk rawk for drums. They are currently working on their new CD titled "Fast Times With the Sluts of Junior High". I have heard them recording and they are really great. They really don't have time to play shows during the school year because they are in college, building an education for their future, unlike some I have known. Check them out. They should be playing some shows this summer if I have anything to do with it. And believe me, I do.
Okay, Full Frontal has changed it's name to the Home Runs. We decided that we wanted a quality, family approved title and theme as opposed to a bunch of lesbian sluts.
The Illustrious Brian Moore has changed his name to Brian Chocolate Milk. Andy the guitarist has since left the band to persue his pot smoking lifestyle. Andy has been replaced by Mary "I'm the lead singer of the Lillingtons and I drool all over my merchandise" Anarchy. Drums are played by some honky we just found on the corner of the street one day. We call him Whitey "punk rawk shows generally do not take place in the uncharted wilderness" the Negro. He wears his "USA: American and Proud" hat, but only to stock up on gatorade for the upcoming weekend festivities. He would no sooner wear a ball cap to a show as he would a fez. Or so i've heard.
Okay another name change. We are now the Haverfords.
The Dropouts
Yeah this band definetly has the hottest guys in Harrisburg in it. I have never seen them play a show yet but I hear that they are playing a show with the Allstars eventually. Umm sadly enough the Allstars broke up, what a pity. Anyway, in the Dropouts, Derek Dropout is the lead vocalist and plays bass, Matt Sexy is the guitarist, Brain Super Mario is also a guitarist, and Cheater plays the drums. Sexy man Matt told me I can be on the cover of their newest album, but we'll see if he was just talking out his ass. I realize the Droputs changed their name to the Bittersweets or something but I don't feel like hunting down another picture of their logo. So there.
