You slowly come to... your eyes struggle to focus. You squint for a few moments as your eyes adjust to the harsh blinking of lights in front of you. You're still not alert enough to tell what exactly is causing the light.
You find that you can't move and as your eyes finally focus you see that you've been strapped to a cold steel chair! It isn't an ordinary chair, straps aside, it is long ... looks to be used for examinations, or... experiments! You almost wish that your eyes hadn't focused because now you can see the rest of the room. To your left is a steel door that is closed... there is a small window towards the top with bars in it. Off to your right there is some kind of large machine lining the wall, it has security monitors flickering and showing different pictures. You are in one of the middle ones. There are uncountable amount of buttons flashing like fireworks... but that isn't what was hurting your before.
Directly in front of you is a large tank of greenish and almost opaque fluid. The light inside is what is flickering. You can't tell what is in it, but you are sure there is something moving inside, something causing the fluid to bubble wildly.
You look back to the chair you're strapped in. It is cool to the skin bared to it, and it's metallic surface is spotless perfectly reflecting the room. It is then you notice your left arm... It's been sliced open! Ugh! But wait... after your initial revulsion you realize that you're not looking at bone or muscle... but wires and tiny soft blinking lights! You stare in grotesque fascination as you move your fingers and see the wires and metal joints move in response.
You're not sure how long you pondered your discover before you heard it, the sound of cracking glass. You look up, not slowly like in all the movies, but fast... you've done some wishing tonight and you're doing more as you stare at the horrific grinning face of the thing floating in the cracking tank...
