It was their last day on their break from the Albertane Tour. The next day the Hansons would catch a plane to Dallas to resume the tour. Only this time, Tamara wasn't coming along. The last leg of the tour was short, so the younger Hansons were going to stay home with Diana. Taylor and Tamara were sitting outside on the front porch of Tay's house.
"Man, it's going to be so boring without you guys around," Tamara said sadly.
"Yeah, well, the tour is going to be a lot quieter with out you there too," Tay answered. "I'm really gonna miss you."
"Me too," she said. She gave him a quick kiss on the lips and then smiled at him. "Do you know how many years we wasted hating each other?"
"Tell me about it," said Taylor as he leaned in for another kiss.
"OH MY GOSH THAT IS SO GROSS!!!" yelled Zac as he burst out the front door. Tamara and Taylor quickly broke apart and looked up.
"Zac, what the heck? Grow up already..." Taylor said annoyed.
"No, not you guys. Although, that is kind of sickening...anyway, I just walked in on Ike and Carmen like totally making out. I'm scarred for life!"
"Wbat? Ike and Carmen? I gotta see this!" said Tay as he ran to the door. Tamara and Zac followed him. The three of them snuck up the stairs to the guys bedroom, where they could hear funny noises coming from. Taylor cracked the door open and peeked inside. Tamara was trying to see and Zac was trying too from behind her. Zac suddenly lost his balance and crashed into Tamara, who crashed into Taylor, who fell through the door and the three of them lay in a pile inside the room. Ike and Carmen jumped away from each other as the others picked themselves up off the floor.
Ike was speechless. "I...um...well."
The three burst out laughing and fell on the ground again.
"I'll call you a lot, okay?" Zac said to Holly at the airport the next day.
"I'll email you a lot, okay?" Isaac said to Carmen.
"I'll write you a lot, okay?" Taylor said to Tamara. The three girls nodded with tears in their eyes. Well, actually Tamara wasn't that sad, she was going to see them in a month, but the other girls lived in England.
"Okay," said Tamara, Holly and Carmen.
"Now boarding flight 752," said the loudspeaker.
"Well, that's us, guys," said Walker.
"See you Holly," Zac said as he gave her a peck on the cheek.
"Bye Tamara, I'll see you soon," Tay said as he kissed her on the lips.
"Bye Carmen, I love you so much, I will never stop thinking about you," said Ike as he and Carmen kissed over and over and over...
"Okay, that's nice," said Walker. "But we gotta go." Holly and Carmen walked to their terminal where they would be boarding their flight to go back home and Tamara got a ride in a cab.
Once the Hanson family had boarded the plane and found their seats, Walker said,
"Okay, I guess I'll tell you this now. Admiral Twin has been pulled from the show."
"Yeah, we know. The whole thing with B*Witched and stuff..."said Tay.
"Yes, well, B*Witched is not going to be the opening act anymore."
"Oh, good."
"The new one is Haley Adiela, she's this new solo artist from Mercury Records. Her first single will be released next week and she's coming on this tour to promote it and her upcoming album." Walker said.
"Well, what kind of music does she do?" asked Taylor.
"Um, let's just say she backup dancers..." Walker said slowly.
"Oh no! Not one of those! Like a Britney Spears singer?" Ike said.
"Sort of. Except Haley is supposed to have talent," said Walker. "And besides, it won't be too bad, the rest of the tour is only a month and she'll have her own bus."
"It's not usually the style of music we associate with..." started Taylor.
"Well, it's not really our decision, okay?" Walker said. "So let's just make the best of it."
Hanson was back on their old tour bus. It was beginning to feel like home again and the guys had started to settle in. They had just arrived in Dallas where they would be performing in an hour. Taylor was changing into his clothes and getting ready to go to the sound check.
Once backstage he went behind the stage and started helping set up equipment. Suddenly he heard voices on stage and music started playing. A girl was singing on the stage and Taylor figured it was the new opening act Haley Adiela. (pronounced Haalie Addiiella.) He hadn't seen or heard her yet, so he decided to check it out. He walked around the front of the stage and stood over by the speakers in front of the stage. His eyes almost popped out of his head when he saw Haley.
Haley Adiela was about 5'6 with dark, brown silky hair that went past her shoulders. She was wearing white capri pants with a light pink tank top and a white jacket over top. The tank top came above her belly button and revealed a flat, tanned stomach. Taylor's heart started beating as she turned to look at him. She smiled as she reconized him and continued to sing a beautiful melody that had Taylor mesmerized. Two dancers that looked a little older than her danced in a syncronized choreography behind her and she occasionally did the steps with them. After a few minutes she was done her song and the sound check was announced over. She looked over at where Taylor stood and started to make her way over to him.
Taylor gulped and looked around. I wish I wasn't so darn attractive, he thought. Haley ran her hand through her hair and stepped up to him.
"You must be Taylor," she said. "I'm Haley."
"Yeah. Um, so...are you enjoying being on tour?" he asked lamely.
She laughed. "Well, for my first day, yeah, I guess." She put her hand on his arm. "I'm sure we'll have lots of fun together."
Taylor backed up a little. "Yeah," he said, his voice squeaking. He cleared his throught. "I mean, yeah, it's a lot of fun. Being on tour with us is loads of fun."
"Next month I'm going on tour with Christina Aguiera and then Blink 182," she said.
"Blink 182? That's going to be a different crowd than you'll be used to!" said Taylor.
She laughed again and picked a piece of lint off his shirt. "Oh Taylor, we'll have to hang out sometime, okay?"
"Taylor!!!" yelled Zac from backstage. "We need you!"
"Okay!" he yelled back. "Well... I'll see you later, I guess."
"Sure," Haley said. "Come visit me on my bus sometime," she whispered in his ear. Taylor started to turn red and he quickly turned away and walked backstage.
This part of the tour was going to be interesting.
