February 17th- Dawson's Creek- "Blown Away"-Episode 5
The episodes begins with a hurricane (Hurricane Chris) approaching the
little town of Capeside. In order to stay safe, Mrs. Ryan(Jen's Grandma),
Jen, Bodie, Bessie(Joey's unwed sister), Joey, and the Leery family
(Dawson, Mitch, and Gail) gather at the Leery house to ride out the storm.
Meanwhile, Pacey and his policeman brother, Doug Witter, weather the storm
at Tamara's house.
Tempers flare at both houses with Dawson finally confronting his mother
about her affair with Bob, her co-anchorman. In his rage, Mitch drives
away from the house, leaving behind broken furniture and a penitent wife.
Dawson retreats to the quiet living room of his house where he is consoled
by Mrs. Ryan (which is a surprise) and learns that she also enjoys movies.
The message Mrs. Ryan gives Dawson is that he must forgive, because it is
"the greatest gift" he can give a person. The comfort she gives Dawson is
in contrast with her earlier actions (She hassled Bessie and Bodie about
being unwed and their interracial relationship).
Meanwhile, tempers flare as well at Tamara's house as Pacey is annoyed by
the flirting going on between his brother and Tamara. We learn that Tamara
lived in New York and enjoyed Broadway shows. In an attempt to heckle his
brother, Pacey tells Tamara that Doug is gay. When Tamara tries to reason
that being gay is okay, Doug realizes what Pacey has done and pulls a gun
on Pacey, demanding that Pacey tell Tamara that he is straight. Pacey
gives in and within a couple hours, the storm is over. When Doug leaves,
Pacey returns to Tamara's to confess his love of her. She agrees and tells
him she loves him.
In the meantime, Dawson's world has been torn apart. With the confession
of his mother, the anger towards Joey, and the disappointment in Jen,
Dawson appears to be deeply depressed. The disappointment and anger show
when Dawson ignores both Joey and Jen. The two ladies of his life chat and
agree that the fact he is an only child has resulted in his helpless
response to the situation. Dawson is slowly beginning to realize that his
life is not a Spielberg film.

The Second Episode
This episode began with the gang hanging filming Dawson's horror movie. Joey is upset because she has to kiss Pacey. Later at school, Dawson solves that problem: he puts Jen in the video, in the kissing scene, and he kills off Joey. Also at school, Pacey keeps flirting with his english teacher, to her annoyance.
Later, while filming the video, Dawson starts to feel jealous when Pacey and Jen kiss. He even decides to cut out the scene. He feels even more jealous when Jen tells him that's she's going to the dance-with someone else.
Dawson talks Joey into going to dance with him. They go, and Dawson gets jealous seeing Jen dance with another guy. He goes over to her, and makes a fool out of himself. Jen gets mad and leaves.
Before going to the dance with Dawson, Joey confronts Dawson's mother about her affair, and tells her how much her this could hurt her family. However, she decides to keep quiet, and not tell Dawson about it.
Later that night, Dawson and Jen make up, decide to go out, and start dancing. It's pretty romantic, and that's how the episode ends.
The Pilot
In this episode we are introduced to each of the four main characters: Dawson, Joey, Pacey, and Jennifer> This episode opens with Dawson and Joey laying on his bed, watching movies, and talking about changes they're faced with, growing up, etc, etc. He invites her to sleep over(just as friends), and she says that they can't do that anymore, because they're not little kids.
In the next scene, we are introduced to the third and fourth central characters to this show: Pacey, and Jen. Joey, Pacey, and Dawson are busy filming a video, when Jen wonders over. Pacey and Dawson stare at her, and the three of them go over to talk to her. They learn, to the guys delight, that she is staying in Capeside for awhile, because her grandfather is sick.
Next, we find out, that Pacey and Dawson work in a video store. They are at work when an attractive older woman comes in the store, and hits on Pacey, and he flirts with her.
The next day, Pacey discovers that the lady is his new English teacher.
Meanwhile, Jen and Dawson go on a date, which Joey does her best to try to break up.(She's mad that Dawson isn't paying any attention to her.)
Later, Pacey and his teacher kiss.(EWWWWWWW)
