- Little girl pokes
Little boy's heart
till it breaks
- Little Girl sees
Little Boy's pain
and she aches
Little Girl weeps but she has to do it
- She can hear his
little-boy cries
like her own
- She can feel his
little-boy tears
but she's grown
Little Girl knows because she has been through it
- Closes her eyes
shuts out the boy
walks away
- Little hearts break
as one begs the other
to stay
Little Girl's heart has been crumpled before
- Little Girl knows
how the boy hurts
she's felt it
- Now Little Girl
is a Bigger Girl
she's dealt it.
Little Girl knows that to stay would hurt more
