Description :
A girl is having strange reactions to various things, especially holy items. After some time her form changes and the development of her is caused by possesion. Along comes Max Von Sydow (Needful Things) who plays the preist who has to exorcise the demon from within the girls body.
Comments :
The Exorcist is remembered because of some classic moments such as the head twisting round. There is also a mixed felling during this film, one of which is comedy. When they, the holy ones, are exorcising the evil, the girl swears and acts really strange which is quite amusing. The language is very, very strong in a film, especially for it's age. The atmosphere is very good but I feel is slightly lost with the humour. There is a lot of screaming in this film, especially when the girl is being exorcised. It is also very freaky, very weird which gives another good blend in the film.
