"A Halloween night of terrifying butchery..."
‘Michael Myers is on the loose once more pursuing the teenager Laurie in this harrowing sequel. Loving couples, a defenceless nurse, a luckless guard and many more fall prey to Myers as he wields axe, bread knife and even medical syringe in his relentlessly violent quest.’ What’s this? Can it be possible that a Halloween movie can be nearly a bit as good as the worst of the Friday the 13ths? Yes, it can! Halloween 2 has plenty of killings, plenty of atmosphere and follows on fluidly from the empty original. Although not gory, Halloween 2 is a work of art, and keeps you guessing as to what will happen next, as Michael Myers kills nearly everybody working the night shift in Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. Only bettered by the supreme Halloween : The season of the Witch (3), which works just fine without Myers.
*Night of the Living Dead can be seen being watched on TV at the start, as can The Thing in the original Halloween
