Like A Nightmare On Elm Street Part 5 : The Dream Child, this movie has not much gore, and a lot of humour, which fortunately is put to good use this time along with the use of 3D to make a fairly good film with a good story. The movie guest stars Roseanne Bar and Alice Cooper in small parts as a mad woman and Freddy’s father. The movie finishes what the previous movie began by telling the rest of Freddy’s story including his childhood. The high point is either Freddy’s computer game inspired by Nintendo’s power glove (now cheaply copied by Sony for the Gaystation), and the bit when Freddy makes Carlos’ head explode by making loud noises. I really wish that they would make a Nightmare film that was more like the original 2, but it looks like the humour is here to stay - especially after reading the Jason vs Freddy script. The make up on Freddy remains much the same as in part 5, only perhaps a little lighter and more rubber looking.
