Music

I listen to all kinds of music. Most of it would be considered some type of rock, but the styles within that style can be extremely different. I also listen to some dance/hip hop, classical, vocal, newage, folk, jazz and blues.

Back to rock. There are seriously hundreds of subcategories used to define the sound of rock. A lot of them mean virtually the same thing, and contain the same key artists, but if you listen real close, you can tell the difference. To better understand this, listed here is the condensed discography of my CD collection, and what they are considered to be. Titles listed in bold are favorites.

You saw Pink Floyd on there. Yeah. If I would say I had a favorite band, which I wouldn't say, I would say that they were it. There are many fascinating facts about the band, but since every source for information on the band contradicts each other in at least one area, I won't confuse things by writing about them. Instead, I'll share a very interesting theory.

Everybody knows about the whole Dark Side of the Moon/Wizard of Oz thing. Not so many peolpe know that it doesn't end there. Thanks to Andrew Wendland, I now know of the many, many 'synchronizations' involving Pink Floyd music and classic films. I think his theories are pretty right on, and the content of which are absolutely amazing.

My most recent CD wish list is here. My birthday is August 25.

I have seen a few shows in my day, and the ones I can remember are listed here.

If you have any suggestions for a group you think I should check out, let me know. Also let me know of any shows coming up in the Boston area that I might like to see. Thanks!
