    • Military Service: Civil War. Enlisted 9 April 1862 at Stone Mountain, Georgia in Confederate Army, Captain Johnson's Company, 12th Battalion, Company C, Georgia Light Artillery. Sent home from army in February 1865 by hospital surgeon because of sickness. Not present at surrender.
    • Pension: Indigent Pension received in DeKalb County, Georgia beginning in 1903. Lost his sight in 1897. Had 50 acres in DeKalb County, Georgia and sold it in 1900 for debt. Applied for a pension 3 times before it was granted. B. F. VEAL is his witness for pension. He has know B. F. VEAL since 1842; they were in the same company in the war.
    • Confederate Veterans' Home: Admitted by Brown PARKER on 22 September 1921. No personal information is included, because his memory was so poor.
