THE TRACKS
Here you will get a look at (and in some cases a listen to) the tracks that will be on Jeff's debut solo album!

BAD LUV
STYLE: Rap/Dance
THE LOWDOWN:: "I wanted to make a song that inspires strength during times of emotional crisis. It sucks to be down and feeling like there is no end to the hurt. BAD LUV is about moving on. Certainly it takes time to heal all wounds, but if you sit around and dwell, it is only going to take longer. This song is to inspire confidence, strength, and the will to move on."
TRIVIA: This was the first song Jeff recorded in the studio for his album.

MEMORIES OF YOU
STYLE: R&B Ballad
THE LOWDOWN: Jeff's signature ballad. "In MEMORIES OF YOU, I wanted to create a striking ballad that defined the feelings of neverending love. I wrote the song from the standpoint of a man who looks back at the love of his life. Although the relationship is over, the memories just can't fade away. The questions and thoughts continue to stay on his mind. The memories have become his life." Jeff was adamant about giving this song the perfect layering of music to bring out the feeling in the words. Jeff layed down a strong beat which he surrounded with multiple layers of smooth melody to create that feeling. "I had this song in my head for years but wanted to wait until I felt I could do it justice...and now is that time."
TRIVIA: Of all Jeff's songs, this one actually went through the most production.

LOVIN' BABY
STYLE: R&B Ballad with Rap
THE LOWDOWN: Originally written as a rap song with a sung chorus a few years back. Jeff decided to revamp the track and turn it into more of an R&B groove but kept a rap in the middle. Jeff feels that "Lovin' Baby" is one of his strongest songs vocally.

HOT AND SEXY
STYLE: Dance with Rap
THE LOWDOWN: Jeff's favorite Dance track composition on the album. With a strong groove, bouncing bass, and smooth vocals, HOT AND SEXY is sure to make you feel the groove. "I wanted to create a dance track that was rhythmic and sexy; the kind of track that would be great to get down to in a club. The song is basically about desire, passion, and sensuality."

UNDERSTAND YOUR LOVE

STYLE: R&B Ballad
THE LOWDOWN: One of Jeff's favorite tracks on the album. "This is a song about trying and understanding. We all have different interpretations and feeling about things, and that is cool because that is what makes us unique...and the key to a succesful relationship is to try your best to understand your partner's feelings, your partner's love...and in doing that you open your own heart to a whole new realm of love."

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU TONIGHT
STYLE: R&B/Dance
THE LOWDOWN: Jeff uses this catchy dance jam to sing about the magic of those feelings you have when you first fall in love. "I wrote CAN'T WAIT to capture that feeling you get when you first fall in love with someone. You get those butterflies in your stomach just to think of them and every minute seems like an eternity until you get the chance to see them. It's funny, you feel both tortured and wonderful at the same time, all full of anticipation...there's nothing quite like it (laughs)!"

LOVE STORY
STYLE: R&B Midtempo with a thumpin' beat!
THE LOWDOWN: With LOVE STORY, Jeff wanted to try his hand at crossing a dance beat with a ballad. The meshing of the two styles results in this interesting mid-tempo groove. "I wrote LOVE STORY in ballad form but I didn't want it to be just a ballad. I thought it would be interesting to sing it in a style similar to ballad but surround it by a faster paced beat, almost something you could get your dance on to. I even dropped a rap in the middle of it. It comes out sounding pretty mid-tempo. This track has a little bit of everything."

WRITING LOVE STORY: "When I was writing LOVE STORY, I wanted to make multiple references to Stories, Writing, and Books. I thought it would be fun to relate feelings and instances to the things having to do with actual stories and the creating of stories. Pages, paper, writing...these words all have to do with Stories, yet they're intermingled into the lyrics and used to highlight feelings and thoughts on a real relationship."

EVERY DAY, EVERY NIGHT
STYLE: R&B Ballad
THE LOWDOWN: "EVERY DAY, EVERY NIGHT catches the true essence of what it is like to miss somebody. The song touches a universal feeling. We all have people in our lives who we miss...maybe a lover who we broke up with, someone who moved far away, someone who has passed on. It's something we've all felt and have to deal with...that's why it so so easy to relate to. I wrote a gentle touching theme that compliments the vocals. It's quite pleasant to the ears and progresses like a gentle wave rolling through your mind."
TRIVIA: This was the first ballad Jeff recorded for the album.

NEVER WANTED YOU TO GO
STYLE: R&B Ballad
THE LOWDOWN: Have you ever lost a relationship but couldn't quite figure out why? Was it something you did? Was it something you said? Or Maybe something you didn't say but should have?? Well that's the message/question in this catchy little love jam.

Jeff's Recording engineer, Brad, and 10-year-old cousin Nerissa consult on one of Jeff's tracks! Also watch as Nerissa works the boards for a smooth mix! Why do you think they sound so good? :-)

WHEN I SAW YOU
STYLE: R&B Mid-tempo
THE LOWDOWN: "This is a track that explores the phenomenon of Love-At-First-Sight. What would happen if you fell under that spell and it ended out being the best thing that ever happened to you? To some it is fantasy, to others it is reality. I thought it would be a fun topic to make a song about. I composed a very melodic piece of R&B music for this song that works fantastic with the vocals."
