Heavily influenced by Joshua Redman, Leroi Moore (Dave Matthews Band), and Vinny Nobile (Bim Skala Bim, The Pilfers), saxophonist Jonathan Berman is a three-year veteran of both the Westfield State College and King Philip Jazz ensembles. Having studied with Pete Levesque, Ted Levine, and Geoff Vidal, Jonathan has the tools and know-how to create exciting moods and bring color to any situation. The new music being brought forward by the Jonathan Berman Quartet has audiences of all genres waiting with anticipation. A former member of Boston's Clarias and The Infamous Shoeless Joe, Jonathan has toured extensively and performed in many notable venues across the country. Jonathan has also appeared with Jim Gilmour, Stephen Kellogg, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Princes of Babylon, Traveling Matt, Tripping Billies, Mieka Pauley, Matt Turk, Big Lick, Pete Levesque, Brotherman, 6th Floor, and the Bridgewater State College Jazz Ensemble with Kenny Hadley. His bands have toured or shared the stage with Reel Big Fish, Deep Banana Blackout, Pilfers, Bim Skala Bim, Guster, 2 Skinny J's, The Urge, Step Lively, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Entrain, Seeking Homer, Zebrahead, Mephiskapheles, Skinnerbox, Miracle Orchestra, Missing Joe, Addison Groove Project, Oval Opus, Let's Go Bowling, Mountain of Venus, Lovewhip, New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble, Topaz, Who Cares, Kicked in the Head, Planet Smashers, Allstonians, Edna's Goldfish, Spring Heeled Jack(USA), MetroStylee, Dangerman, Children of The Korn, Splitshift, Shadows Fall, Catch 22, Big D and the Kids Table, Fooled By April, and many others!
