"Ladies and gentlemen, be afraid, be very afraid, straight from area code 6 6 6, the wholesome Marilyn Manson..." That was his introduction and I quote from Britney (of all people).
Of course, the song was Disposable Teens. They wore the usual Guns, God and Government atire, nothing unusual. What disappointed me most was that he changed the words, so he didn't say anything naughty on national television. On the huge screen behind the stage they had a cool what looked made it look like they were going through dark, scary, gloomy clouds.
There was only one good shot of Pogo (after the first chorus). There were a few random shots of John 5, the other random shots were shared equally with Twiggy. Twiggy, was jumping around the stage like the maniac he is. Ginger got about the same amount of camera time as Pogo.
As for the perfomance, well, it was ordinary. I didn't like it until Mr. Manson saw fit that he should walk into the crowd during the bridge of the song ("the more than you fear us..."). The crowd looked like they didn't know what to do, so they just sat there and looked stupid. He walked about 10 feet straight down the aisle, stopped, and turned back around. He then spotted his target, none other than (after watching it four times in replay) Ed Mcmachon from Publisher Sweepstakes! Into the shot of him leaning over to Ed was Aerosmith. When he leaned over Ed didn't know what to do (other than have a big grin on his face), so he tapped Manson on the arm (is that for get away or good job?). It looked like good job.
Manson walked in the front row going across horizontal after that, he did a little bit of his Mansonism (those bizarre movements he does on stage sometimes) and jetted back onto the stage. During the last chorus he bent over in front of the stage while singing and put his hand over his butt. After the song was over he finished it with a good harty "We're disposable-ehhhhhh". He then procedded to drop the mic on the ground. Then he did the bow in front of the audience like he did during the chorus and walked into the shadow, again..
