At The Sunrise Musical Theatre
Well, november 11 of the year 2000. this was one of the best days of my life... i was waiting to see Manson sice long long time ago and this time i have the opportunity to see them live... i bought my ticket, PIT, because i was really interested to be very close to the band.. and i did it...
I arrive to the theater at 4:30pm and i wait with some fans there... A station of south florida put some songs from "holy wood"...
At 7:20pm they open the doors and i enter there so easily... when i enter to the theater i was so excited because the stage and the venue were very small... i just enter to the PIT and i was just against the rail... well, Godhead played 6 or 7 songs and they aren't very hard, but they are cool... and the Union Underground was better... they are very similar to Powerman 5000 and they did a decent show...i hate the fucking guitarist because he was spitting to the crowd.. fucking asshole... and they put some images of Charles Manson!!!! that was really cool...
At 9:10 or something they put the curtian and they did the sound check... at 9:30pm they put a concersation that some people said that it's Charles Manson and another people said that's Diamanda Galas.. anyways when the talk was over they put the lights off, and they beggining to do an instrumental intro of "Count To Six And Die".. i was so fucking high.. so i saw the manson silhouetted over the curtain... so the sheet dropped and manson just scream: "fuck It!!!" and they did the fucking "Irresponsible Hate Anthem"... this song was fucking killer and Manson looked at my eyes a lot of times and i showed my middle finger to him :)
well, manson was wearing black pants, boots and he have some red lines over his cheet, and the make up was very similar to the 'disposable teens' video... Twiggy was wearing a dress similar to the 'Dead To The World' era, John5 was wearing a black dress (the same dress of the 'Disposable Teens' video and he had kool make up.. a star in his right eye, so he really looked like a KISS fan... Pogo was fucking amazing.. he had a dress (red and black) and he had some reflective shit over his neck... and Ginger Fish was wearing black clothes...
So after the 'hate anthem' they did "The Death Song" that was fucking amazing... for the next song they putted a backdrop with a fetus (from the 'disposable teens' single) and they just performed "Disposable Teens"... this song was fucking great with all the people just screaming: "yeah, yeah, yeah". the next song was "Great Big White World", and manson was very close to me during this song... i was trying to touch him but i didn't :(
For the next song, "Tourniquet", Manson went on stilts... this song is fucking better live!!! John5 played the guitar really awesome during this song... it was really cool when manson was standing over Twiggy while on the stilts!!! after the song manson spoke about the lections (yeah... florida), about the education, about the teachers and he finally said: "Fuck The Police"... and he said: "fight, fight, fight, fight" and all the crowd screamed the same thing.. so they performed "The fight Song"... then they performed 2 songs of the first album 'Portrairt Of an American Family': "My Monkey" and "Lunchbox".. Lunchbox was really great, because they extended the song and manson went to the right, left and center... i spit a lot in this song :)
So they played 2 more songs of the 'Mechanical Animals': "Rock Is Dead" and "the dope Show".. for this one manson was wearing a cool coat... hehehehe.. after this song manson went to the ceiling and they performed "Cruci-Fiction In Space"... manson was over some stilts, like the 'disposable teens' video, but he was just in the same place all the time.. amazing!!!! Then they played "Burning Flag", one of the hardest song of the new album, and manson used a mega-phone!!! This song really kick ass live because they put an american burning flag in the background!!
The next song was "Sweet dreams" and they extended the song with the "Hell Outro"... the outro was really great, because John5, Ginger Fish and Twiggy were hitting their instruments really good... So then manson came with a pope costume, and they performed "Valentine's Day", and manson knelt at alter (with 2 manson heads), at the end of the song covered upper body in some chocolate or something similar stuff...
For the next song they used the podium, a red podium, with the guns-cross symbol... Many people (like me) raised their fists and yelled "yeah"... and they played "the Beautiful People".. i have to admit that the place went crazy with this song... hehehe.. and in the last part of the song manson was over the podium again...
So Manson said to us: "shoot shoot shoot motherfucker" and the played "the Reflecting God", that was the BEST fucking song in the show... This version was really similar to the "God Is In The TV" version.... and the band left the stage, except Pogo...
And they came back and they beggining to play "Antonishing Panorama Of the Endtimes", and manson was pissed off because the microphone didn't works, so they give another microphone to Manson and didn't works!!! So manson decided to abort the song and left the stage... and the rest of the band left the stage...
It was the best concert in my life and i'm really waiting to see Manson again... i hope to see him again in this tour and i definately recomend seeing manson on this tour. The band was very personal with their crowd, and it was good to see them all smile and have fun...
