Poem Dedicated To My Friends and Classmates

WISH FOR TODAY, TOMORROW MAY NEVER COME

This is the story I have to tell,

Of two people who didn't fare well.

They thought they were cool,

By doing drugs and booze.

One day they decided to have some fun.

But all it did was to keep them on the run.

They thought they were cool,

So they soon dropped out of school.

They kept doing drugs like there was no tomorrow,

But all it caused was their families great sorrow.

One began to drink one day,

He thought his blues would fade away.

The last began to smoke and drink,

After a while, he could no longer think.

The two died on a Sunday.

They thought they could make it to Monday.

All drugs and booze can do,

Is to make you think that you are cool.

I hope you all realize the importance of this poem. I wrote this poem for a school project, but it applies to our everyday lives.
