Dad

Though through these my awkward years
and passing veils of childhood fears
your hand soothes my heated brow
and your blessings make me feel well somehow
when talking to me you always impart
the feeling of love straight to my heart
you lift me up when I am reaching
and take each opportunity for teaching
though life is uncertain, happy and free
is the child who sits on daddy's knee
you assure me I am loved each day
even when disciplining in your own way
Locked away in my heart so deep
are your lessons of love I sacred keep

~~~~~***&&&@@@&&&***~~~~~
I chose you specially
and hope that I can grow to be
a person just like daddy
Daddy your my hero
I wanted you to know
your always there for me
to help me as I grow
I'm thankful that I chose
to come to earth to you
your happy when I 'm happy
and your sad when I'm blue
So with all my love I say
HAPPY, HAPPY, FATHERS DAY!
