Jadiete/Jade

This page is by Mene
Jadiete the first bad guy in Sailor Moon I ever met. For the most part he is your typical bad guy, typical laugh, typical plots and typical blunders. He's all one could want in a villian, he's nice and two dimensional, always loses and has great lines. My favorite is "Ha! That was only an illusion." from the last Jadeite anime episode. One of the best things about him is how his eyes enlarge while he says it and then get small again when he finishes. The other memorable thing about Jadeite is the comment one of my friends made when she first saw him "But he's so cute, he can't be the bad guy!" Anime and manga he has the least personality of the four generals. Even so I felt extremely sad when Queen Beryl bumped him off. She did it, because he had failed her one time too many, even though he'd just discovered the scouts identities. She was too angry at the time to listen to him. In the manga it is Mars and her pet crows who kill him. In their past life, before he was turned evil, Mars was engaged to him. I guess she was still sore about how things panned out. Jadiete was a good, average evil minion.

Hecate's Opinion
Jadeite is probably one of my favorite bad guys. As Mene said, he is rather a typical one, but still, he is fun. I think that it was extremly short-sighted of Beryl to kill him before he had proven useful. It seems like he was never really given a chance to be the evil guy he could be. For a bad guy, that's pretty sad. (Oh, and one thing that Mene didn't mention is that he is the General of the Far East in the Manga.)

Artemis's Opinion
I like Jadeite! The first time I ever encounterd him, was in one of my spanish anime comic and I was convinced that his name was pronoused "Hadeite". But any way, as Mene said, I was sad when Jadeite died, and as we went around the house going "oh poor Jadeite!" Our mother then yelled from down stares : "He's the Bad guy! Your not supost to feel bad for him!" I supose she's right, but I was horrifed to see that Nephlite took his place.
