Michelle Kwan won her second Olympic medal at the 2002 Olympic games in SLC, Utah. Michelle competed in 1998 at Nagano, Japan. There she earned a silver medal. Since that time Michelle went on to win 4 more US National titles and 3 World Championships.
At the SLC games Michelle skated a clean short program and was in first place going into the free skate. She skated second to last and unfortunately fell on one of her jumps.
Michelle won the bronze medal for her country and as usual came through with grace and the undaunted courage that she is known for.
