I met Mike in September 1997. The "Chat" link on the left is where I met him. No, it wasn't in real life; it was through an online chat room. I signed on as "Wild Cat," and he was on as "MIKE58SC." Actually, he was the very first person to send me a private message. I even remember exactly what he said to me: "You've got a dope profile!" and so we started talking from there.

We got to know each other pretty well, and eventually I asked him if I could call him sometime to talk on the phone. He said yes, and gave me his work number. The first time I called him, my heart was literally pounding. I remember being so excited and happy to finally hear his voice! He was quickly becoming my closest best friend I ever had.
My birthday came rolling around on October 1st, and even though Mike couldn't be with me at the time, he sent me this poem he wrote just for me. I loved it so much I read it at a weekly poetry gathering at my school. Time went by a little more - Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Then Spring Break 1998 was coming up. Mike and I started discussing a possibility of meeting . . . In Person! We began talking about it, and wondered when a good time to meet would be. I mentioned to him that my spring break was coming up in March, and I thought this would be a great time to do it. We agreed to it - and I began looking for plane fares from Tampa to Springfield, MA.
I finally bought the tickets. I would be there from March 10th until the 16th. Six wonderful, blissful, happy days. Fast foward to the morning I was leaving. No, fast forward to the moment we MET.
If you believe in it at all, you could say it was love at first site. I certainly believed it, and I knew we would be together for a VERY long time (note, very long time=FOREVER). I visited him once more in April, and finally in June of 1998, I packed up what belongings I had and moved to Springfield, MA. to live with him.
We have been together since March 1998. By the end of March 1999, Mike and I found an apartment that we both liked, and we moved in. It was our very first apartment together!
Since then we've done so much together. We bought a 1999 SVT Lightning on July 31, 1999. She is number 2153 out of 4000 made. Besides myself (LOL) she is Mike's pride and joy, and there is nothing he loves more then to polish up the Lightning and make her shine. Afterwards, he and I go for a drive when it's a beautiful day out.
