The first of 6 themed districts: Hollywood! Obviously this land is themed to the glitter and glamour of Hollywood. From looking at the area layout, it looks as if there is still room for one more ride, maybe ToT? I hope so.... So far this district (not land like in Disneyland) will consist of:
03/12/99 After seeing a computer simulation of some of this attraction, I can safely say what the waiting room will be like. After entering what looks like a movie reel with Disney characters painted on it, you will enter a room filled with music, lighting effects, and (of course) different projections of Animated films. The lighting effects correspond and change along with the different films shown such as the Little Mermaid where waving seaweed is projected on the ground and seashells on the roof. Then it may change to Beauty and the Beast where the music and lighting also changes. Very cool I think!
Muppet 3D: I am very happy to know this made it to the California Adventure. Being one of my all time favorite attractions. Muppet 3D is a 3D/4D film based on the Muppets of course. It includes Audio Animatronics of characters designed to act and look like Siskel + Ebert, Fozzy Bear squirting water at you with a flower, and the theater at the end being blown to pieces.
11/29/98: I've heard that this will be an original film, different from the one in Florida!
SuperStar Limo: A mock limo ride through Hollywood where you have just signed a major movie deal and your goal is to make it to the Groman's Chinese Theater for the debut of your new movie. The pre-show has a briefing video by Michael Eisner. The right goes through many famous California locales such as the beach and a tatoo parlour where tatoos are projected onto the riders arms. The vehicles have three rows and look like convertible limos. This will be located behind the monorail track.
Hyperion Theater: This will be a 2000 seat theater located in the top left corner of Hollywood. It will be partly built underground and will have floor seating and 2 balconies. The theater itself is suppost to be very luxurious and I think will resemble the El Capitan slightly in it's decorations and artwork. It will show broadway style shows.
ABC Soap Opera Cafe: A sit down restaurant where stars from ABC day time dramas act in front of you as you eat.
Shmoozies: A corner fast food joint. I do not yet know what it sells.
Don The Beachcomber: This walk-up restaurant will serve Tropical Treats such as smoothies and fruit.
Hollywood Roosevelt Cine Grill: Will be a fast food grill restaurant.
Perinos Pizzeria: Will serve pizza and other italian cuisine.
Schwat's Delicatessen: A deli selling different sandwitches, etc.
Light Snacks: A lemonade stand.
From what I see, if Tower of Terror makes it out here, this will practically be a mini MGM with the best stuff squeazed in.
Gone Hollywood: A sovenier shop.
