Every hockey fan recognizes the referee and the two linesman, the three officials who are responsible for the on-ice control of the game. Also integral to the successful completion of a professional hockey game are key unheralded OFF ICE OFFICIALS, known only to a small, savvy group of fans. Required by the American Hockey League are an Official Scorer, Lead Statistician and Team Statistician, Penalty Box Attendants, Penalty Timer, two Goal Judges and a Game TimeKeeper. A number of Alternates and most importantly, a Supervisor, are also a must.
