   Or viewed the world's broad strife
What would  Judea mean to you?

If you had been born in a village
   And never felt the need
Or had the oppportunity
   To learn to write and read,
What would the Bible mean to you?

If you had been born in a village
   And knew only spirits of fear
If death and the grave stood to rob you
   Of all that you held dear,
What would Jesus mean to you?

If you had been born in a village
   And all of this were true,
Let us wonder...
