Have you ever given it a thought To read another's mind? That would be quite a thought, would it not? Just think for a moment of the things you might find. You'd have the ability to know If that one you call friend Really is so, or perhaps a foe And one upon whom you would not want to depend. If you knew what your girl was thinking, You could quickly decide What it means: her winking and blinking; Is she in love or just 'taking you for a ride?' Think of all the money you could make If you could meet the need Of people before they even spake (Of course, you' need to follow a virtuous creed!) And we haven't even mentioned yet; How very smart you'd be; Far more than the internet, you bet; If you were just given this opportunity! But wait, friend, before I let you go, This I must tell to you. There IS One Who does know hearts below. He not only knows but He loves you through and through. He alone offers peace, joy and hope In the midst of your cares. When at end of your rope and you can't cope, His great love and concern He abundantly shares. This special Person of Whom I speak Is my Saviour and Lord. To all who are meek and for Him seek His sweet saving grace on their troubled minds is poured. So, from this wicked world come apart; Jesus waits now for you. Give Him all your heart; don't hold back a part. 'Twill be far better than reading minds when you do. BACK
