Perhaps today you’re feeling sad, Exhausted, weary too, There are so many, many tasks That you had meant to do. Perhaps today you’ve said goodbye To one so loved and dear, Your world now seems an empty place, No one to care is near. Perhaps today your steps are slow, You are bound down with care, You feel just now unable to Take any more to bear. And yet the Saviour waiteth long To comfort and to bless, He longs to lead so gently all His dear ones in distress. At Lazarus’ grace He bowed in grief And sorrow with His friends, He’ll gladly share His children’s woe Until the journey ends.
