One day as I was walking along looking for some poor beast to torture I noticed two mice near a wrecked boat. Very sly I crept up as close as I could. The two mice sounded very worried to be so near Marshank. They were trembling with fear. I knew this would be the perfect time to catch a slave for our prison pit. Using my dagger I jumped up behind one of them holding it to his neck! I told him to stay where he was or his friend would get it! The mouse turned and ran as fast as he could! Hitting the mouse in my arms with the butt of my dagger I ran after the other one! I quickly caught the out of shape chubby mouse. Jumping on him, I pressed my dagger tip against his neck just enough to let a little trickle of blood roll down his chest. He spat in my face and tried to free himself. I kept my grip and started clawing him in the face! He looked up with his mangled face and said he would never be taken alive. I jabbed the dagger point through his neck. He gasped, and died. Walking over to the unconscious mouse I threw him over my shoulder. He would make a better slave than his chubby, dead friend!

Timothy
I was deep into the woods were hardly any beast goes. I was there beacause I need to pratice with my throwing daggers. WOOSH!! I chucked one with grace and speed. It hit its mark with no problem at all. My target was a branch in a high tree. I hit the limb so hard that it came crashing down! I heard a tiny little sound with my super senses. Then it was all quiet. I walk over to see what could make a nosie like that. I walk over to find Timothy. He was knock uncousines. He looked like that. Red fancy coat with blue pant and a green pants. I new right away that he came from Redwall Abbey. I thought to myself I might get paied for this. Hisk might also hold this tike for ransom. I moved the limb with my great strengh and picked him up. Right then I heard a noise behind me. It was a hare with a javlin. It threw it in the air. It was coming right for me heart. I dropped the mouse and ducked. The javlin skim over my head. I threw a posin dagger over my head, right for his feet. He did right what I had planned. The hare ducked. It periced his heart. He gave a yelp. Timothy woke up right then. He cried of the sight. I decided that the hare was a friend of his. I hit hime over the head with my paw. He slipped back into uncouchesnous. By the tail, I took him back to Marshank.

As I was sailing home from a mission I noticed a fire on the shore not far away. As my ship got closer I realized it was a couple of shrews! I licked my lips greedily thinking they would make perfect slaves for our prison pit. Not getting to close I got in a littler boat and paddled to shore a little ways from them. Throwing a black tunic over myself to help hide me I crept closer! The shrews sounded excited! They couldn't wait until the rest of their group got there so they could take over Marshank!! "I can't let you do that!" Very surprised they jumped up! The first shrew ran and threw a spear while the other pulled out his dirk! Dodging the spear easily I ran at the one that had thrown it! I jumped and came down with my dagger in his shoulder! He winced in pain and fell! I turned quickly to face the other one but was to late! His dirk pierced my arm! Angrly I pulled out a dagger with my good arm and threw it expertly at his chest! It struck true and he fell dead! The other shrew just laid there! Wrapping him in my cloak I dragged him back to Marshank.

Ash

One night when I was on patrol, I saw a bush move. Setting down the sentry spear, I whipped out my war hooks. When I got close, I was hearing, "Oh, they'll be so bally happy when they see this. This'll be some wheeze, takin' over that fort an all. Heeheeheehee. Now the will have to make me a Long Patrol." I went over to the bush and peacefully said, "'scuse me son, but who are you and who are you talkin' to?" He stood up, "They calls me Ash on account I always fight with the ash stave." "That's nice." With me hooks, I smashed the stave, knocked him out, and took him to Marshank. "Where you takin' me pal?" "I'm not your pal, I'm Bloodclaw the Ripper."

I was whittling away at some arrows when all of a sudden, a great hairy beast attacked me from behind. With huge, deadly claws, he picked me up and tossed me to the ground. "Get up little ermine, or face a horrible death" So of course I got up and prepared to fight for my life.I grabbed an arrow from my pile and got ready to defend my self. I charged the beast with the arrow outward and prepared for contact. I hit him in the knee. The arrow shattered in my hands. "Hahaha, you fool. You are no match for me!" I knew he was right so I threw a rock at him, hoping to create a diversion long enough for me to run away and hide. but my plan worked better than I thought. it hit him square between the eyes and knocked him unconcious. I tied him up and took him to Hisk and sold him as a prisoner.

I was in my ship, Dark Fox, when I smelled smoke. I climb out over her and swam to shore. I ladied quitley and scuttled down the beach. It was about that time that I say torchs. I climbed a tree. Tasty! Bagers. They had the marks of Salamandastron! There was a lager. He dropped further and further back. I folowed him in the trees. I jumped down and knocked him out. I put him in the bush and covere him up. I would come back later. Not wanting to endanger Marshank I quickley folowed and slew every one of the ten badgers(not Patrick of course!). I then went back to Patrick and dragged him to Marshank.

I was taking a walk after killing a beast that threatened me when I saw an otter swimming in a pond nearby! Why is he so close to Marshank with no friends I thought? What a foolish beast! Picking up a rock I chucked it over a little ways from him. He quickly looked up to investigate the noise! Now was my chance! I ran at him and jumped on him in the water! Using my rope off my tunic I wrapped his neck up and held him under water! He fought ferociously and tried to escape! I used my knee to hit him in the face a couple of times! Thinking he was unconscious I let him up! To my surprise he was still awake! Quickly thinking I used my dagger and stabbed his paw! He bled a lot and passed out from loss of blood. I dragged him by his ears back to Marshank were the prison pit awaited him!

Shrill Alog the Squirrel

I was walking along the river when a shew boat passed by with two shrews a squirrel and a tied-up weasel. I grabbed Rat (my throwing dagger that has a rope tied to it which I had fastened to a tree earlier) and threw him into a tree on the other bank. Then running back upstream to where the boat was, I took a parchment and wrote something to the captive. I put the parchment on the dagger like a hog on a spit, and threw it at the boat. The dagger clipped his binding; he read the parchment and got the idea. He removed his gag and gagged the squirrel then bound her. Using a dagger I purposefully hit the front shrew in the stomach so he would die for sure but not instantly. The other leaned over his friend, while using his chance the weasel took my knife and slew the other. By that time the boat was three feet from the rope. The weasel reached up and grabbed it then towed the boat to shore where we disposed of the shrews and sailed on away to continue my slave run.

Riptide, the weasel I saved, rowed well as we made way toward the mystical Noonvale where I wished to find slaves. I glanced over the keel of the shrew boat. I saw some rocks. I told Riptide to bank us. We landed just below the rock when suddenly I saw an otter boat skimming toward us on the silver river. I climbed a tree to wait carrying a sling from one of the shrews I had killed and some rocks. When the ship was close enough I threw a stone. It sailed through the air and knocked out one otter out of the three on the deck then slew the other one. When all was silent I threw Rat into the last sentry and pulled the carcass up. I undressed and took the dead otter's hooded tunic and put it on pulling the hood way over my face. I pulled the ship closer using Rat. I leaped aboard and flung the unaware otter to Riptide who tied him up like the squirrel, while I pushed the others overboard.

Being onboard the Water-Tear I called out as much like an otter as possible: "Rock n' Rapids dead ahead!" I stood to the side and let the otters run strait into a waiting dagger. I walk into the cabin. A otter babe ran to me; I swung around and ran him through. I continued when suddenly I heard cooking. I walked into a kitchen and saw a single otter cooking a soup that smelled very hot. I hid in the corner. Soon she was calling everyone in for lunch. I crept up on her and with a rope that I always had I bound her and gagged her and brought her on the deck. Tossing Riptide the otter he put her alongside the other captives.

Reno the Shrew

I placed the prisoners in a line on the Water-Tear and Riptide with standing in front of them with a club. Every time one awoke he lay them out. I was in the shrew boat and all floating downstream the Broadstream. We had paddled up very far north so we could float down with ease. During that time we had captured a boat of ten shrews. One killed two escaped. Suddenly there was rustling in a bush. I threw a rock with tremendous force. I heard a scream then a shrew then a shrew rushed me. " You killed Reno, now you must die!" "No young un', you must die."and I stuffed his throat with a dagger. Soon I was coming out of the bushes carrying the unaware Reno.

Eggshell the Owl

We sailed on. Soon I saw smock rising from a camp not far from shore. We docked and I went to investigate. I found it was four ferrets, stand around trembling of the bodies of seven other lifeless ferrets." Who did this?" I asked. The ferrets pointed skyward. I looked up and saw a huge owl circling, hooked beak and talons ready for swoop. I got a idea: " Take the cloths of the dead and sow them together," In half an hour we had a huge tarp."Dose the fire and lay the tarp on top. Then slightly soil it." When all was done I made some more orders: "Three of you grab a corner, then you over there walk around on the tarp and when I say "now" you jump of the tarp then I'll jump over the owl and take your part," I pointed to the one across from me " And you," I pointed to the ferret left of me" to him." I pointed at the ferret across from him. The owl dived. "NOW!!" and it all happened as planed. So we dragged the owl to the boat and soon Spitooth, Stampfoot Rotface, and Nipaw the ferrets were mine to command.

I lay back and let us float on. Suddenly I saw arrows coming from the forest. I docked us and when to investigate. I brought a huge brought bag just incase. I ran through the underbrush. Soon I saw a clearing ahead I ran to the ferrets around the camp, this portrayed my presence to the enemy. I was grabbed by two razor sharp talons. I swung around, grabbed my cattor and made a gash in the bird's wing. He twisted around to slice me up with his killer beak but I buffeted him with my blade flat, knocking him unconscious. The limp form plummeted earthward. Realization hit me, I was on the bottom! I scrambled to the top so the owl would break my fall. I sacked the owl and tied the open end of the bag. We hit the ground. The owl moaned. "You have my daughter. I'll kill you!" " STARFALL!!!!" my war cry sounded all around. Soon the ferrets I saw earlier rushed forward "Starfall kill burd ,you great warrior , you chief now!" So I lead my new army to the boats. The four other ferrets rejoiced and joined their tribe. So Riptide, my second and I rode in the shrew boat tied to the otter boat with the ferrets on the otter craft doing as they pleased.

I sat in the shrew boat and let us float down into the inlet that lead to Noonvale. "What'll you do with your tribe?" Riptide's voice rang out. "Tell ‘em that I live in Marshank and that they have to defend the fort. Critical!" "You're a sly beast, Redclaw Starfall, But me, what with me?" asked Riptide. " Join Marshank!" " Harharhar!" we laughed out, "Harha-" an arrow appeared in the boats side. " Alarm! Two row format now!" Two rows of archers lined the otter craft on either side once an arrow came from one side the rows would take turns firing into the woodlands. On the roof of the cabin (where me and Riptide had taken refuge) were slingers firing into the water incase of otters. Cries and wails greeted our "Let out the net!" I ordered from the cabin. Nets were thrown from atop the cabin. "Up!" and the nets were drawn." One water vole sir," reported a ferret. " Tie him like the rest and get all paw puntin' n' paddlin' " The ferret left in a few seconds all hands were either punting or paddling, the ship took of down the river.

Firtrim the Squirrel

I was out in the woodlands hunting for birds. I'd already shot down a good lark with my bow and arrows and carried it strapped to my belt, which also held my dagger. I heard the trill of a thrush up in a tree and stood stock still, searching for the bird with my eyes and ears. Sighting it, I took careful aim with my bow, and I would've had it right through the heart if a noise hadn't startled it off right after the shaft was loosed. I jerked my head down to see a small squirrel standing stalking out of the trees ahead. The creature was a head shorter than me, but I stood tensed and ready should it make a move to attack. My dagger would be my best bet. The squirrel stood boldly infront of me, eyed me, then spoke. "Don't appreciate bird-shootin' out here, ferret." I noticed its paw moving ever so slowly towards a dirk sheathed by its waist. I put my bow down, as if relaxing my guard, then sneered scornfully at the squirrel. "Well if'n y'think I care you got less brains than this 'ere lark I slew, bushbrush." The squirrel moved, and so did I. Swiftly drawing its dirk, it lunged towards me, and whipping out my own blade I nimbly dodged aside, easily pinning the creature in the upper arm. It cried out in pain, and swung its other arm around to grasp the hilt of the dagger, but then it did something quite unexpected. As the squirrel brought his paw around, it let fly the dirk, and rather viciously for such a slow swing. However, the dirk was a little clumsily thrown, and this, combined with my lightning-fast reflexes, made it easy to sidestep and catch the blade as it flew at me. I immediately leaped on the squirrel, ripping my dagger savagely from its arm and holding its paws down. Just then, two stoats came jogging out of the forest. "Grrrr! Lemme go, an' I'll teach you to mess with Firtrim, son of Firdin! Y'big coward, lumpnosed vermin!" I layed the insolent squirrel low with a sharp blow to the head, and stood up to face the other two new arrivals. "An' who're you beasts?" I asked, trying not to sound too hostile. I could see the stoats were more than a little dull, and I could also see them struggle for a brief moment to put on a tough front. One of them, clad in a plain tan jerkin, stepped forward and said in a mean manner, "We go where we wants to, ferret. Heard the commotion over 'ere an' came t'investigate, that's wot. Now wotsa lowly female creature such as yerself doin' out 'ere all alone?" Quickly pacing the short distance between us in two long strides, I punched the stoat in the jaw, making him fall over with the force of the blow. Whirling on his companion I crouched slightly, snarling, "Don't you ever make the mistake of callin' me lowly, mangebottom! An' y'got somethin' against the fact that I'm female? Well?" Shaken, the other stoat shook his head vigorously. I nodded, glancing down at the stricken vermin who was tenderly touching his bottom jaw and about to get up. I whipped out an arrow from the quiver over my back and strung it on the bowstring, pulling it taunt in an instant and pointing it at the standing stoat. "Not a move unless yer want yer friend 'ere with a hole in 'is stummick. An' don't think I can't shift m'aim just as easily t'let daylight inta you, either." The stoat on the ground froze, but I could see by the movement of his eyes her was looking meaningfully at the other. Before he had a chance to think further I growled out, "No yew two have a choice. If y'wanna live y'kin come wid me an' join up in Marshank under Sire Hisk. Ye'll need t'wander no more, y'll have plenny o' food, booty an' good mates. Or, if y'd rather die, I'll be glad t'send yeh on yer way. Choose quickly afore I loose me patience with y'both!" I drew the bow up against my cheek to prove my point. The stoat who was up blabbered out, "We'll go! We'll join! Don't kill us, please, we'll join you an' Marshank!" The vermin creature still on the ground shot a glare at him and said, "Hey! I'm makin' decision for us, not you, slobberchops!" Seeing my wild look in his direction, the stoat gulped. "Uh, yeah, uh, sure, we'll join! Yeah, we'll join!" I had the two carry the still-unconcious squirrel back to Marshank, keeping close watch on them with an arrow notched to my bow. A prisoner, some interesting info, an' two new recruits to Marshank, all in one hunt!

Muggle

I was walking down to get some fresh water for Lord Hisk, when I saw movement among the trees. Thinking that it was a bird, and that I could capture it for dinner, I waited with one of my daggers. All of a sudden, a spear thudded next to my paw. I rolled over, and hid underneath a boulder. "No bird could throw that!" I thought, still puzzled. After a few moments, I saw a beast creep out, and drink thirstily at the stream. Positioning my dagger, and throwing it exactly at the beast's tunic, I pinned it to the ground. I leapt up, and picked it up, and saw that it was a multi-colored squirrel. Disappointed that it couldn't be dinner, I brought to the Prison Pit, and threw him in there. The beast kept screaming at me, "Muggle hurt you! Muggle escape, an' kill ye!" So, I took his name as Muggle.

As I made my way over to the Lord's quarters, I saw a shadow sneaking along the wall. I quickly ducked, and kept myself unseen. It was a fine night, with only a sliver of the moon, shining down on the fort. So, I went out of Marshank, through a small side-door, and made my way through the ferns, and bushes to where I saw the shadow. I looked up, and saw a ferret scaling the high wall. Pulling out one of my throwing stars, I boldly approached him. "You, ferret! Come down at once, or else I'll kill ye! the ferret looked back, and started going faster. As Marshank was in need of slaves, I reconsidered, and threw the star at the rope. It neatly sliced it, and the ferret fell. He was unconcious, so I dragged him back to the Fort, and questioned him. He said that he was an assassin, to kill Hisk. I gave him his worthless life, but he's now workin' his paws off in the Prison Pit!

"GET YER SLOPPY-SIDED BODY UP, AND KEEP YER SPEAR UP!" I snarled at them. They immediately straightened up, and attempted to appear vigilant. I went to the fire, and got a quick sip of my coffee, when I heard a strange voice. "Ye scum never are successful in guarding som'thin', butterpaws!" I calmly stood up, and stayed there. The voice again started. "Hah! Too afraid to face me, coward? I-ARRGHHH!!!" I swung around and threw a star at the voice. Silence followed. I grew tired of the incessant bragging. "You talk of victory, but ye can't kill a flea on yer yeller belly, iffen ye wanted to!" I challenged him. His face grew red, and he just snarled, and charged me with a double-headed axe. Ducking easily, I thrust my hind-paw out, and tripped him neatly. He was half-drunk with seagrog, so he blacked out. I was on a scouting patrol, looking for food, and watching out for any nearby beasts. I came across a female hare, who was apparently lost, and left by the Long Patrol. I told the rest of the patrol to fan out, and to form a circle around her. I also warned them to be careful, because this hare might be a perilous un'. I strode up to her, and surprised the lost beast. Before she could retaliate, my vermin surrounded her, and threw ropes around her. I snuck out and hastily grabbed the leader. When the rest of the leader's tribe saw me holding their leader hostage, they ran, and left us. I said the last word with a sharp command tone to it, the squirrel dropped her sling, then walking to me, then I commanded, "Don't move!"she stopped, barely breathing, her eyes glassy, and is impossibly still, I cuffed her hands with manacles, and I commanded again," Follow me!" she did so, then I gotten back to camp, then I give her a thought to be permanently in her mind, even when my command is broken, "you'll love the life of a slave, you're only joy is to do our work, and hope is to be working as Hisk'spersonal servant, freedom is a word that'll send chills up your spine, and make your blood cold. You rather die then be free, for freedom means doom, and terror, and slavery means love, joy, and peace. She turned around and screamed loudly at seeing me, then fainted. Slomm stormed in "Whurrt's wrong, Magnoliurr? Who'rr you!?!" He saw me and hurled a pitchfork at me! Luckily, I grabbed a small table and used it as a shield. It bounced harmlessly away. I stabbed him through his arm and looped a noose around his head, and in two seconds (no brag, just fact) they were both tied and helpless. I had a nice meal, then announced: "Stir yer stumps, we've got a long trip!" She moaned, and he said: "Hat leest wurrv still gurrt eech othurr..." I said "Ho urr, Oi kin take kurr o' that! Hurr hurr!" They both moaned then...

Rainbow

I was wandering out in Mossflower woods when I saw a light from the distance. I went there and saw a mouse called Raindow, she was also singing an odd ditty to her self. I strode in to the camp and sat down accros from her. She lowered her eyes to slits but continued singing. When she had finished she spoke to me, "cold tonight, eh?" "Yes, espacialy if your out here alone." I replied" Yes, I do agree that it is more cold if you don't have a friend." "Indeed it is." I said nodding, before she could blink I whiped out a rapier and pointed it at her heart, she wept all the way back to the ship.

Blogwood

Again giving Salamandastron a wide birth my captain decided that we were low on supplies. So I volunteered to go a shore to find some. I was walking in the woods pleased with my self. I had killed nine birds stolen twelve duck eggs and gathered many berries from the under growth. When I took a look the hare called Blogwood had been skinning a potato and singing to him self. I decided to catch him. After all the galleys could always use more slaves. It seemed logical to catch him; after all he was alone. So I snuck up behind him and bopped him on the head with a rock. He slumped to the ground. I threw him over my shoulder and took him back to the ship.

Arven II

One day I was out in Mossflower woods when I saw the squirrel warrior Arven II. He was with his son, training him to take his place as abbey warrior. So here was a warrior and a warrior in training. I decided that I was going to catch one of them to slave under the lash of Marshank. So I ran up to Arven II and before he could react I slammed a dagger home in to his leg. He gave a grunt of pain and kicked out viciously at me. I smashed him on the head with the hilt of my dagger and pounced on his son and bound and gagged him. I heard search parties come out from Redwall and I knew I could only carry one squirrel, it was Arven II or Arven III, I decided on the former. As I carried Arven II away I noticed Arven III staring at me. I shuddered, I could swear that those eyes contained pure hatred.

Arven III

Little Arven III heah, heah, heah! I was wandering in Mossflower woods when an idea struck me. Why not capture Arven III, so he and his dad can toil under the lash together forever. Aren't I nice? Heah, heah, heah! I was just about to challenge Arven III when suddenly an arrow hummed by my face and buried it self in the tree trunk that was next to me. "Redwaaaaaaalll!" I saw a flash of red fur and suddenly found my self on the ground, it took me a second to realize that he had stabbed me in to side. "Eeeeeechoozaaaaa, luraaaaaa!" I yelled back as I threw a dagger. Arven III went pale as the dagger pounded in to his foot paw, but he recovered quickly and kicked out with the dagger still jammed in his paw. This action both caused us to scream out in pain. I grabbed a rock and smashed him in the face, knocking him spark out.

Goldfur
One fine sunny day I had a craving for some fresh fish but I didn't want to wait for those cooks to wake up so I went down to the pond almost right next to the camp to fish. When I got there I found a good spot and waited for a fish to pass by. Soon I saw a big bass swim by right next to me. I made a swipe and landed it. Suddenly I saw a streak of gold and my paw was bleeded and my fish was gone! I looked around and saw badger footprints going into the bushes. I followed them and searched the bushes. There I saw a young badger with gold fur chomping down on my fish. With a scream the badger got up and jumped on me! We rolled onto the ground struggling until I took out my scimitar and slashed at him. I cut a deep gash straight down his leg which stopped him for a moment. But that moment was all I needed a sprang forward and hit the badger in the head with my sword hilt three times which knocked him out cold.

Doris

One night while I DarkBlade was in my camp trying to get to sleep I heard a loud rustling sound from the bushes. At first I figured it's probably one of me mates just going out for an evening stroll. But the rustling continued, so I got up to investigate. When I peered into the brush I saw an old female otter protecting her young. It was a bunch of five otters huddling around the old one. Quickly the old one took out a sword and leaped at me. I jumped out of the way just in time and the sword totally missed me. I then took out my scimitar and swung it at the otter. The otter blocked it easily and made a stab for my side. I quickly side stepped and stabbed at her legs. She jumped up and swiftly knocked the sword from my hands. The otter grinned and made to swipe at my unprotected neck when a gleaming sword point seemed to grow from her belly. Groaning the old one fell to the ground dead to reveal one of my men who had been awakened by the noise. I nodded at him and picked up my weapon. "Now let's take care of these young ones shall we?," I said and we both crept to the brush. Most of them were too weak to work so we slayed those. All but one was slayed. This one was tall and lean and seemed pretty strong. Together my man and I grabbed this one and started to take him back to Marshank.

Marcel

One night while I DarkBlade was taking my evening stroll I saw something suspicous on the ground. It was a trail of what looked like honey. I followed the trail into the pond where they led straight into the water. Since I was not a very good tracker I dissmissed it as a toad or something like that. But then I heard a sputtering sound coming from the water behind me. I turned around and saw a young female mouse floundering in the water. She must have slipped or fell into the water I guessed. She swam to the shore not even noticing me. I quietly slipped into the brush. The mouse turned and started walking right past my hiding place in the brush. I jumped out and knocked her out with a hit to the forehead. I picked her up and took her to the Marshank prison pit.

Ragarr

While I DarkBlade was trying to get to sleep I heard a strange sound coming from outside. I quickly got up to investigate. I found a weasel dead with a knife in his throut right outside the walls of Marshank. I examined the knife and saw that it was of shrew make. I decided to find this intruder and slipped into the brush. Not very long after a big burly shrew with big rapier and a bunch of daggers come out of the brush where he had been hiding. Lukily he had not seen me and I noticed a big tattoo on his shoulder saying Ragarr. I quietly sneaked over to where he was standing and came up behind him. Swiftly I grabbed him and put my scimitar to his neck. I quickly knocked his rapier from his hand and took the daggers from his belt. I then searched him for any other weapons and found a hidden dagger and a hidden rapier. I took them out too. I tied him up and took him to the prison pit.

Nightflight

Out of the gloom, a pair of emerald eyes blazed. There is no sign of the creature to which it belonged. Suddenly, the eyes vanished. From halfway across the forest glade, the eyes reappeared. There was not a single sound to show that anybeast had move at all. Abruptly, a saber whizzed by the air, neatly knicking the tip of the mouse's ear. He squealed in pain and shock. The eyes seemed to grin mockingly at him. Still no sign of the beast. How did that creature do that? Who is it? What kind of creature was it? Questions swirled through his mind. Slowly these thoughts were pushed aside by the pain. Peering intently into the gloom, the mouse could just barely make out the shadowy outline of the other creature. Then, the other creature moved and he lost the form in the trees. Seemingly out of nowhere, a dagger buried inself in the tree he was pressed against, held frozen there by fear. Unable to suppress it, he gave another squeal. Suddenly, a black-clad wildcat dropped down before him. "Well, now. Aren't we the brave one? What are you doing here?" The wildcat's tone dropped from a wheedle to a dangerous hiss. "N-nothing. I-I-I'm j-just p-p-passing through!" He barely managed to stammer it out before going into a fit of fear. The kitten grinned an evil, merciless grin. "In that case," she said, readying her deadly claws, "You've nothing to fear. Ever again!" She struck him full across the chest, shredding it with her razor-sharp claws. The mouse's features were frozen into an expression of shock and pain as he slumped, lifeless, onto the ground. "See you at Hell's Gates, mouse." The wildcat turned to leave, laughing quietly to herself. Unexpectedly, an arrow buried itself into the tree not a hair's breath away from her nose. Sensing danger nearby, the kitten drew her twin sabers and leapt into the tree. Tossing a pebble into the surrounding foliage, she was rewarded by another volley of arrows. Quickly determining the direction from whence it came, she set off through the trees, making hardly a sound in the still, silent night. As she neared the first creature, she saw a troop of some twenty squirrel archers arranged in three rows, all armed to the teeth. Well, now, she thought. Maybe this'll be an interesting night after all. Slipping amongst the squirrels like a wraith, she killed the first row with nary a sound. On to the second row. After killing the second row, the wildcat sprang up into the third row of archers. Startled, the squirrel troop backed away. The wildcat's blades sliced through the squirrels' leather jerkins easily, cutting their lives miserably short. All but one. That one chose to run when the wildcat sprang up. Tracking in the night presents little problems. Picking up a longbow, she filled a quarrel full of arrows and set off to follow the remaining enemy. A little before dawn, the wildcat spotted the runner. Bearing down on him inexorably, the squirrel soon realized his only hope was to fight. There was no way he could outrun her. Soon after, the battle commenced. The wildcat was fast. She was faster than any beast he had ever fenced with. This would present a slight problem. For a long while, it was all the squirrel could do to keep from being spitted. Then, a golden opportunity opened up and he lunged, hoping to overwhelm the kitten. She merely grinned and stepped aside, catching him a blow to the base of the his skull with the hilt of her saber. Lashing him up, she managed to drag out that his name was Nightflight. When Nightflight woke up, she began the day-long trekk back to Marshank to present Sire Hisk with her prize.

Marvin

As I DarkBlade was returning from a battle with some RAIM warriors with about ten men I thought I had seen a squirrel running around the bend of the trail. As we turned the bend, sure enough, an arrow came whizzing in and thunked into my armor. I looked around but could see nothing. Another arrow came whizzing in and hit my armor, A little bit closer to my flesh though. I quickly ran into the brush and beconed for my men to follow. Making the squirrel think we had ran away, we quietly sneaked back to out hiding place in the brush. Soon I saw the fleeting grey image of an old squirrel jumping down from a tree. One of my men raised a lance and threw it. It thunked into the animal's footpaw and ran straight through it. The squirrel yelled in pain and surprise as it looked around for it's attacker. Quitly I sneaked out from the brush and knocked the squirrel out with a hit from my sword hilt. My men came and picked up the old one and helped me carry him back to the Marshank prison pit.

Branken

As I snuck over the walls of RAIM, I looked for the place where they kept the prisoners. I quickly ran over and started to unlock it when I heard a yell! "Some beast is trying to free the prisoners!" I ran for the wall as fast as my legs would carry me! An arrow sped by head and knicked my ear! Looking back in anger while still running for the wall I spotted a creature and let my dagger fly! His limp body fell tripping some of the beasts running behind him. I found the rope I had used to get in and quickly grabbed on and propelled down the wall! I hit the ground hard but kept going! A mouse tried to get down by the rope but was stopped by dagger in his back! The others hurried out of the main gate! I dashed for some nearby bushes where I sat perfectly still for an hour. "Well I guess he got away," I finally heard some otter say. "Lets head back to RAIM." I was no fool. I knew they would leave some beast behind to wait for me to come out. I waited longer and sure enough an otter and a hare came sneaking by. I pulled out my last dagger trying to decide which beast would be easier to fight. Then throwing my dagger I took out the hare. Their long legs are hard to fight against. I hurled my body out of the bushes and on to the otter! We fell with a thud. Using my grip I kept ahold of his head, slamming it into the ground! Blood streamed from his battered face when I finally let him up. Barely able to stand up straight he swung pathetically at me. I dodged them with ease and he stumbled falling unconsious on his face. Walking over I grabbed the back of his tunic by his neck and drug him toward Marshank! Maybe I could torture him as a slave! Oh well, whatever I decide can be done once he is in our palace!

Goulann the Squirrel

I was searching the woodland fringe for any hapless woodlander to harrass.I looked over my shoulder, Marshank stood proudly in the East.Suddenly I heard a twig snap and I whirled around, caught a glimpse of a squirrel materializing out of the forest.I immediately dove from sight and watched its approach.Idle little fool I thought, can't he even see Marshank? When he was close enough I sprang up brandishing my axe. He quickly side stepped and hit me with his own weapon.Pain flooded my jaw as I pulled back.Ignoring the pain I looked up. The squirrel stood there holding a knotted rope.A gullwhacker was the correct term for it, a combination of a whip and club. The squirrel went in for a secondstrike. I was waiting. The gullwhacker wrapped around my axe blade and I threw all my strength into the heave backward. The gullwhacker broke in two and the squirrel flew over my head.I laid the squirrel out again with a swift punch to the face.I almost felt sorry for turning the warrior into a slave.Almost.
