"WEBS OF HELP"

I think it was around September 20th or so in 1998 that I bought my Webtv unit to do what - I don't know!. However, I plugged it in and went through the formalities of setting up my account with Webtv. It was probably the most exciting thing I invested in since my first C. B. radio. Hey! Don't knock it. I found myself communicating all over the place learning new languages "GOOD BUDDY", and "CATCH 'YA ON THE FLIPPA'". How about this one, "WHATS THE 20 OF THEM SMOKEYS, GOOD BUDDY -- EH-YA - THATS A 10 - 4".

Virginia Slims, had a slogan for women smokers that probably applies to me. "You've come a long way baby. Ten short weeks ago, I was happy chatting in the "Mystery" chat room, meeting some very nice people. If it hadn't been for one of them, my good friend, rixxk, I may still only be chatting in "Mystery", or, even doing nothing with the web at all. He mailed me this thing called "DRAACS 123". 'HUH??? What in blazes am I supposed to to with this?'

Well, a couple of days later, he asked me how I was doing dressing up my Email page. 'HUH??' He told me that thats what I was supposed to use this Draacs thing for. He said it should only take a few hours.

. Four days later, I had something with a green-yellow background, and two bears hugging (cute, huh?). But, I had a song in there that would not work. I did it over, and over, and over again in my email signature and it still would not work. Then I found something in Draac's that said to go to a message board if you need help. I DID, and people came out of the wood work with advice. Two of those were Cloud365, and Gamelord666. They stayed with me until my sound started working.

The problem wasn't the sound itself, it was the way I entered it. I learned that "ALL T's MUST BE CROSSED, and ALL I's MUST BE DOTTED. It seemed every time I entered it I either had a comma for a dot, or left out the colon after the http, or only had one slash instead of two. You name a possible mistake and I made it for over a week.

I am so glad that rixxk gave me the information to be able to cut and paste. It certainly has saved me time and grief. Rixxk, and Cloud365 have stayed close with me, and we have become good friends. Gamelord666 is still out there, very busilly helping others, and if I need him again, I know he will be there. God bless the three of you.

I would like to offer the following links to you, as a possible resource, and to me, a wealth of information for building Web Pages, or simply designing an Email page. I take no credit for any of the the following information, except for the fact that I am a packrat of sorts. I have been sent the following in response to other inquiries I have made, and refuse to discard any of it. Hmmmmmmmm! Never know when I might need it again.

I think that is why I started a Web Site. I could have a place to store stuff, so I could get it out of my email and Home "Favorites", It got to a point that I couldn't save anything anymore because I used up my limits. I couldn't put anything else in my "favorites" because I only have twenty folders and they were all full, and completely disorganized.

If you need help with anything at all, I am sure you will find the answers in the following links. Use them to create something you can be proud of, and that your friends will enjoy.
