SOMEWHERE OUT THERE
THERE IS AN ANGEL NAMED JENNIFER
It was March 15, 1973 when Jennifer was born,
and I can remember that day in full detail,
just like it was yesterday, for that was also
the day the angels came and took her
away.
We had her for just a brief hour and a half
before she went to live an angel's life,
somewhere out there.
That was thirty one years ago and we think of
her so often, especially during the holidays
and on her birthday.
If Jennifer had not become an angel, perhaps
even your's or your loved one's Guardian
Angel,
what would she be doing today?
Perhaps in medicine discovering cures, maybe
even a nurse soothing someone's pain.
She would have been doing something along
those lines I am sure, because that is what
her mother and her older sister chose to do
for their vocations.
One thing I am sure of, though. She would
have been as beautiful as her sisters,
Janice
and Caitlin, and just as feisty.
There is an Irish balad called "Johnie, We
Hardly Knew Ye". This is a song probably more
recognizable as part of "Americana" and
attributable to the "South" as one of their
ballads during the civil war.
Well --- Jennifer, we knew ye' for such a
short time, but you, our child, our sister,
will always be in our hearts and our
thoughts.
I know that you somehow are guiding my
thoughts and my fingers on this page, because
it belongs to you.
There is also a barbershop ballad about two
little boys, seven and three years old out
roaming the streets, trying to find "Where
The Angels Live" so they might see their
mother one more time.
If sung right I guarantee there wouldn't be a
dry eye within hearing distance.
I would also like to find that place in order
to see Jennifer just one more time.
"We'll meet again, don't know where, don't
know when, but I know we'll meet again some
sunny day".
We love you, Jennifer, and pray that the Good
Lord holds you in the palms of His hands,
both now
and throughout eternity.
