Good day, folks. My name is Shannon, and I will be serving you during your visit at "Casa Shannon".

With over twenty eight years of sales experience within the Food Service Industry, I have come across some of the finest chefs and cooks in not only New England, but the United States as well.

I have therefore become quite a connoiseur in the art of meal preparation, and plate presentation.

Some call me a "frustrated chef" because I am always concocting things to do with a basic item. Others simply call me a vacuum cleaner with teeth -- because of what I do with my creations (LOL).

I have been gathering recipes from the web since October, and feel I have enough links to put onto this page (including some web pages, containing graphics for your web pages, if you need them for a culinary theme.

Some of the following links are specialized in nature (i.e. beef, deserts, etc.), while others cover a broad range of menu ideas, and topics.

I personally have enjoyed gathering this information, with the thought of putting this page together someday. Well that day has arrived.

The "Reluctant Gourmet" has prepared this page of "culinary terms" for you to refer to when encountering a recipe with unfamilar terminology.

Also "World Wide Recipes" has prepared this international ingredient " Conversion Table" for us, which also has a link to their own "Kitchen" or recipe page.

Combine those with Lori Alden's "Cook's Thesaurus", and you have the ingredients for never getting hung up in anyone's recipe trying to understand it.

As an afterthought I came across this page from the USDA and thought this might be a good place to put it in case anyone was wondering what our government does in the areas of food inspection. Check out their pages. I am sure you will find them interesting.
