od now I pray unto you in thankful memory
of my greatest religious experience of your glory
Remembering how one morning as I was taking a bus ride
when I was awake and not on drugs, as on the seat I did sit
while I was feeling dissatisfied with the state of my mind
and strongly desiring to rise closer to God's spirit
suddenly I could strongly feel God's presence inside
I realize that sometimes God is with us though we ca'nt feel it
but that morning I could strongly feel God's spirit
It was like having a light like the sun within
it was the feeling that was the prize I'd always wanted to win
it was a feeling of having the spirit of God's son within
a feeling of having been separated from my sins
it was a feeling of having God's spirit within
And as I felt that spirit shine within me like a light
I knew that its presence inside of me was no myth
and was inseparable from and essentially connected with
my belief that the Son of God was and is Jesus Christ
And so God I pray that I may grow to be truly thankful
for having been given that opportunity
to meet and to feel your spirit while riding through the city
because when I was thirsty you gave me a glass that was full
And God I pray that through my memory of it
I might rise higher and draw closer to God's spirit
And I pray that I might re-attain to that state of light
and that I might act in a way worthy of that light of christ
and that I may not defile that light that showed itself to my sight
And that I may be forgiven for the many sins
I've committed after experiencing that spirit within
And in general aside from such specific goals
I request of thee God that in the coming days
you would respond to thoughts I think and words I speak when I pray
and help me to rise closer to thee in my heart mind and soul
And excepting those for whom it's not the will of heaven
that we should ask God to give such things to such persons
All things I ask for myself now in this prayer
I ask also for all persons everywhere
I ask these things of thee God in the angel bestowed name
of thy son Yayzoos who by the name Jesus is famed
