ACTION ALERT- Boycott MSNBC's Chris Matthews
Chris Matthews has repeatedly compared Americans who are concerned about the war in Iraq to Osama bin Laden and that "fag jokes" are acceptable on-the-air content. For more information on this matter just click on the banner below.
Hello. As you can see my name is Dave
. I am a
GWM, born (Jan. 9th, 1953) and raised in Taunton
, MA. I am 53 years old. I am 6'1'
tall and I weight 260lbs. I came out in 1971 while I was a freshman in college
( 2 years after the Stonewall riots
in
1969 ). I am LOUD and I
am PROUD. I am a gay and AIDS activist. I
have participated in many marches and
demostrations in Massachusetts and across the USA.
For 16 years I worked for the state of Massachusetts in a hospital for the mentally ill. My job title was a Mental Health Worker 1. I provided comfort and support and I assisted in the daily care of my patients. My job was most fullfilling and I loved it, however, in May of 2004 the state of Massachusetts and I couldn't see eye to eye about the care of my elderly mother so I left the service of the state. Now I stay at home and care for my elderly Mom full time. She deserves to spend the last few years of her life at home surrounded by her family and friends and not in some un-caring nursing home getting inappropriate care.
At the present time I am single and I
plan on staying that way...LOL. I have learnt from
pass experiences that I am not a relationship
kind of person. I enjoy my space, spending my money on myself and I don't like having to answer to anyone. I don't have anything against marriage, it's just not for me.
I have devoted most of my life to
being a
loving and caring person. I consider myself
to be a person that is colorblind. I try to
respect all people regardless of race or
gender. As much as I try I am not perfect and
find that I have a few flaws in this area. I
have no tolerance for hate. I don't have any
patience with gaybashers or biblebangers who
spread hate like a disease and preach
intolerance. Being the loving person that I
am I know that I tend to over do it with the
emails HUGS. I am sorry to those that do not
enjoy them but all I can say is that I LOVE
YOU!!! When I want to send a hug, my favorite
place to go is LadyLynn's Hugs.

Over the years I have become sort of
a gay
mentor for younger gay men. I try my best to
guide and protect them. Many of these young
gay men resorted to calling me Mother. This
nicname has stuck to me like glue for
years...LOL...and many young gay men here in
Massachusetts only know me by my nic.
