Chris Rock

Chris Rock was born Feb. 7, 1966 in South Carolina. At age six he moved to Brooklyn where Rock was given a tough reputation, although he was very peaceful. He attended a almost all white school on the other side of the city were he put up with extreme racism. He put up with a lot and defended himself the only way he knew how, verbally.
At age 18 Eddie Murphy saw one of Rock’s Comedy Routines and found him to be so brilliant that he casted him in his film Beverley Hills Cop 2. He later appeared in two other Eddie Murphy films Boomerang and Dr. Doolittle.
He then joined the 1990 cast of Saturday Night Live which really helped his career. He left within three seasons due to the fact he hardly apeared in any skits. He basically summed this up when he was hosting SNL few years later when he said “I’m on this show more now then when I was on the show.”
In 1991 he made an important film appearances New Jack City In which he played a drug addict named Pookie. After that he wentback to comedy when he started appearing in the hit show In Living Color.
After In Living Color went of air he appeared in many commercials including the voice of lil’ penny Hardaway.
Lately he has done many things, he released the Grammy winning comedy alblum Roll With the New, he started his HBO television show The Chris Rock Show, and released two Emmy winning comedy specials Bring the Pain and Bigger and Blacker.
