2nd DEGREE BLACK BELT

Kajukenpo

Must attend class regularly and be indorsed by an Instructor

Min. 60 Total Instructing Hours

Must be Recommended by a Certified Instructor

Log Sheets must be endorsed by a Certified Instructor prior to testing

 

KATA: Outside Form (Non Kajukenpo Kata)

BUNKAI: Pinan V, Naifunchin, Bassai Dai, Niho Shiho

BUNKAI: Gake Sei, Pinan III, Pinan IV, Saifa

BUNKAI: Taihokyu, Pinan I, Pinan II, Karumpha

 

I. Must Pass the Formal Program OR the Free Style Demonstration

 

2. Must display Other Awareness and understand the concept at this level in order to maintain AKI standards

 

 REQUIREMENTS FOR FORMAL PROGRAM:

  1. Prepare Program Copies for the Testing Board.
  2. Program Outline Must be detailed. Deviation from the Outline is grounds for failure.
  3. Test Candidate Must have at least four ukes in their program.
  4. Time Requirements: 10 minute program.
  5. Must include Niho Shiho and an elective.
  6. Self Defense concepts must be displayed.
  7. Must do a breaking routine.
  8. Test begins with the first bow of the Nidan Candidate.
  9. To conclude the test, the candidate must announce the end of the program with a bow.

 

 

NOTE:

The Nidan program is a time for you to show off your skills, talent and discipline to your family, friends and peers. When you are presented with your Nidan Belt, you will know that you have Earned it. The Passage of Rights to wear the Karate Black Belt is an AKI Tradition. Wear it proudly. Remember that a sub-standard design or a poorly executed program is grounds for failure.
