Other awareness
Self-orientation, self-righteous, self-awareness, self-concern, seeking-self, are all self-centered. Satan wanted a throne like unto God.
Isa: 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Satan acknowledged the Father and the Son but was just worried about his share. What was in it for him? He had to make sure that he would get what he thought was due him. He doesn't feel like he's a bad guy just sometimes one has to take care of number one (self). Satan sounds a lot like people today.
People today are worried about their retirement, their job, their house, their car, their health, their looks, their status and what people think of them in general. People today all feel as though they are good people and their just trying to take care of them selves while they do things to others that they know God would not want them to do. Even their love waxed cold in serving their own needs, not of the one they supposedly care about (Christ). When they hold each other it is because of their own needs the same as a cat, when they show their love it is covering up what they are really about which is needing sex or someone to confirm that basically they are good people.
As a Christian one of the biggest battles we fight is against self, since self is flesh controlled. We consider things according to our feelings, our needs and our emotions. These are flesh types of control. We do things according to feelings, such as overeating, being lazy, feeling bad for our self, talking about others to make us look better, cheating people (money, labor or goods), are all satanic things. You see we cannot serve two masters. Satan is the master of teaching self.
The other awareness concept is Christ orientated. Christ teaches us to consider things from a different perspective than self.
Joh: 7:7: The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
Those who hate Jesus also hate the Father who sent Christ. God haters are in bondage to sin. Most sin in the world is about self such as Cain killed Abel because Cain felt bad about himself and his offering to God. Cain did not kill Abel because of his love for God but for his love for himself. Too much self is a very sick thing.
Joh: 7:17: If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
Joh: 7:18: He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him
This is the foundation of Other Awareness. The concept of doing the will of the Father is an other awareness ideal. We are brought into this world and taught to serve our self in all ways of life. We automatically begin to cry because we are hungry, want to be held or we are dirty, we do not feel the love of our mother but the needs to be filled. From this we are taught that we are basically good kids while we do things based on our needs and grow in the desires to fill our self in all needs. Christ came into this world and did the will of the Father instead of serving self. This is the only way we as Christians can do the will of Christ is to love others as we love our self. To love another as your self you must do things according to their need not yours.
M'r: 12:33: And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
We do not love our neighbor as our self, we have corrupted the concepts that the Lord has taught us. If we did we would turn the other cheek in love to those around us as a light in the world. We are supposed to be strong in Christ, not apologetic as Christians, apologizing for our Lord seems rather demeaning to my Christ since the apologizing should be to Christ for us. This does not mean we should abuse others but that we should be strong enough so that others do not intimidate us and put Christ first so we can be a lighthouse instead of a judge. We cannot turn the other cheek in cowardice as a Christian but we can as a coward. We have to be stronger than the one we are turning the other cheek too, otherwise we are actually afraid. Submission because of fear is not Christian.
Christ did not turn the other cheek in weakness; our Creator turned the other cheek in strength. We are supposed to follow his example. This means that Christians should be strong. True strength can only be achieved by other awareness and must be implemented through our daily lives such as not abusing mentally or physically our spouse, a child, someone we can intimidate, or a neighbor when we feel the need to hurt someone weaker. When we are Christians walking in strength we are to act as Jesus gave us examples of, not as dogs that feel someone's fear and attacks them. Turning the other cheek is something we do to someone we could have abused but we chose to implement Christianity instead. We are to turn the other cheek to the weaker: we cannot to the stronger. Isn't it funny how people do not try to misuse those who are stronger because we're afraid of their response, we only abuse the weaker as bullies do. Man basically is evil and all the desires of his heart are wickedness.
Strength is a peace within that allows us to not be hurt when someone tries to do us wrong. People wrong others for several reasons:
1. They feel bad so they injure someone else to make themselves feel better. Like a small dog snapping at someone who is going to pet it, because it is worried they might hurt it. Christians are not supposed to be like dogs.
2. They are striking back due to injured feelings. This does not necessarily mean that you hurt them, but they feel hurt so they hurt another. A lot of animals are like this, we are not to be animals but followers of Christ.
3. They are being Greedy. We hurt others when we think they are going to bother our things or if they get something that we wanted, we get mean because we're jealous. This is not a Christian; this is less than a pathetic animal. Christians should be happy for another when they receive a blessing.
4. They are serving a lust of the flesh. They do things such as adultery for momentary needs. This is no more than a dog does, no commitment other than fill self needs. We often find that a good animal has better qualities than people. This is a very sad picture of the so-called body of Christ.
These are a few of the reasons people hurt others. You can see a common factor in these examples. They are taking care of self. This is the same as Satan does. A Christian cannot serve two masters and we have to decide who really is our master. If we look like everyone in the world maybe we are of the world.
Ro: 12:2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Eph: 6:12: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Joh: 8:23: And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
The Lord has shown us that we are not to be conformed to this world so if we say everyone else is doing it, then we are part the world and part of the problem. The worldly people are from beneath, Christ is from above, and Christians should be in Christ a new creature. It is through implementation, not the thought, of the Christian principles that a person grows in faith. Faith should be throughout our daily walk. If it is not then we do not have faith and no one can come to Christ without faith, so we are not Christians.
Joh: 11:14: Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
Joh: 11:15: And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
For you to believe you must have faith and faith must be implemented in all walks of life to grow spiritually. It is our daily walk with the Lord that helps us to have the faith that we need to walk in obedience. Our daily walk with the Lord makes us to be a lighthouse to the world and implement the Christian principles.
Joh: 11:20: Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.
Joh: 11:21: Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
Joh: 11:22: But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
Joh: 11:23: Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
Joh: 11:24: Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
Joh: 11:25: Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
Joh: 11:26: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
Joh: 11:27: She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
Joh: 11:28: And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.
Joh: 11:29: As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.
Joh: 11:30: Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.
Joh: 11:31: The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there.
Joh: 11:32: Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
Joh: 11:33: When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,
Martha answered the Lord; she knew Lazarus would rise again in the resurrection at the last day. She did not listen to Jesus who said thy brother shall rise again, but decided within herself what Jesus was talking about. This is the way most Christians listen to God. They tell God what they think instead of listening to what God has to tell them. Jesus said, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. Martha said: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world, but decided that she knew better what Christ could do than what Jesus was trying to say. We must learn that the one we listen to and obey is our God; hopefully that is Christ and not our self. Many people confuse serving themselves with serving Christ. The one we are truly serving is our God, this is sad for a lot of the people out there who have made themselves their God instead of my Christ.
Jesus groaned in the spirit; why? Did Jesus feel the loss of Lazarus since he was dead? Noooo, no people he did not feel the loss for Lazarus since Christ is God manifested in the flesh. Jesus can speak to Lazarus just as easy in heaven, hell or in this world. This Jesus is Godman, perfect God and perfect man. The groan that Christ did in the spirit was because of the lack of faith, because they said Lord if thou hadst been here my brother would not have died. The Lord knew days earlier that Lazarus was going to die. He referred to this as he sleeps. Christ did not groan for Lazarus but for us who have no faith. Christ came into this world to give us the gift of Grace so that we can be forgiven for our sins and we don't have enough faith to believe it. Without belief in Christ there is no hope.
Joh: 11:5: Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
Joh: 11:6: When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
Joh: 11:7: Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
Joh: 11:8: His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?
Joh: 11:9: Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
Joh: 11:10: But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.
Joh: 11:11: These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
Christ considered death no more than sleeping. This is from God's side not man's. Man knows the flesh is dead and the flesh feels for flesh, man does not perceive things from God's side (using faith). Believers go home to be with Christ when they die, but to believe we must also have faith and faith without works is dead.
Joh: 11:35: Jesus wept.
Joh: 11:36: Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
Joh: 11:37: And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?
Joh: 11:38: Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
Jesus wept, because the pain that he felt was because people without faith do not believe. The closest I can show this is to consider this from our lives: Everyone has a mother, and if a child tells his mother that they do not believe that they have a mother, the mother would weep and groan within, since their lack of belief will lead to actions that correspond to their belief system. You must believe in order to have faith, so these people had problems with their belief. Without belief in Christ we cannot get to heaven.
Jas: 2:17: Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
We must first believe in order to develop faith and we cannot have faith without works, but the only works that God gave us is:
Joh: 6:28: Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Joh: 6:29: Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent
Jesus groaned because without faith there is no hope for man. Faith and belief coincide. They cause people to do the works that God has called them to do. The works they do are because they have already been paid with salvation from their sins. We owe a great deal to the living God for our salvation and we can never do enough to pay for it. All we can do is to love our Lord and this love leads us to do his will. This is not a love that the world can understand since it is from Christ. We cannot work our way into heaven but we will work because we love our Savior.
Joh: 11:39: Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
Joh: 11:40: Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
Joh: 11:41: Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
Joh: 11:42: And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
Jesus spoke to the Father so that the people would hear him and believe that he was the Christ (only begotten of the Father).
Joh: 11:43: And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
Joh: 11:44: And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
When Jesus calls you, you will come, even if you are bound hand and foot in sin. This is our Creator (the word of God) and we along with all of creation will obey. During this life you can say what you will but there is coming a day that you will stand before my Lord as will all people, and you will understand. I hope you decide early because then it will be to late.
Joh: 11:45: Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.
When people saw Lazarus who had been dead for four days crawl out of the grave many of them believed. It does not say all of them because unless the Father calls you, you cannot come to Christ. This is the will of the Father that Christ does not share his glory and throne. We as Christians should obey our Lord, not the other way around thinking he must obey us if we do certain things or say certain things a certain way. That type of belief is magic not Christian. Satan wanted to control God also, that means those who do the same are probably Satan's.
Joh: 13:34: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Now we are given a new commandment that we should love one another as Christ loved us. This is the big one: To love someone more than we love our own flesh. Christ gave his blood for our salvation, we are to love others in this manner. This type of love has no gain, since Christ did not strike a bargain when he purchased a bunch of sinners.
Joh: 13:35: By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
We can see that the only way we can show that we are Christians is to display this type of love. This is a strong type of love. When Jesus went to the cross he knew he was purchasing sinners. He also knew that the Father had given him the ability to lay his life down and to pick it up again. Jesus paid for my sins on the cross and secured my salvation by rising from the grave and returning to the throne of heaven. You see this type of love requires you to finish what you started.
Joh: 14:12: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Joh: 14:13: And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Many people today are asking for all kinds of stuff in the Lord's name and not receiving it. This is because if you truly believe in the Lord you will only ask for those things that are in the Lord's will. If you ask for something that is in your will, then you can deliver, because my Lord isn't going to. We may even ask for something such as healing someone we love, but it must be the Lord's will that the person is healed. Only those things that the Lord desires will be done.
Joh: 14:21: He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
We must keep the Lord's commandments if we believe and the works of the Lord are to believe in Christ and follow his example. People believe they are basically good but God said they're wicked and unless they come to Christ in repentance they are automatically going to hell.
Joh: 14:23: Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Joh: 14:24: He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me
We see that if we love Jesus we will keep his word, but if we do not keep his word then we do not love him. Then we love self, world, power or riches more than the Lord. This means the Lord is not your God but you are or your things. The Lord says that he will abide with us. This is the temple of the Lord, the human body. Our Lord comes and dwells within us and gives us a new spirit that can come to Christ. Your body is the temple and the church is all the temples together. It is not a building or a denomination but the believers in Christ.
When we consider that the body is the temple and the Lord comes and dwells within us, with us in this body and we know what we are really thinking at times (so does the Lord), we must consider it being something like living in a dump. This is our Savior who paid for our sin and when he comes to dwell with us, he must see all the sickness of our self and the things that only we know about our self. This is not a nice place that we have prepared for Jesus as our guest.
The guest room that you have prepared is overindulged in food and from the spiritual side of things stinks like a putrid throne of an idol. It also is lazy and trying to serve itself in comfort, which is another smelly throne. Then when you bring it to your church for a spiritual cleansing, your church worships an idol instead of Christ that is sitting in your guest room among the stench of your living. We should love our Lord so much that we clean his guest room and when he dwells within us it would be at least somewhat presentable.
We build churches to go and worship in because we deserve a nice clean dwelling place. My Christ deserves even better than this for he is God.
Joh: 15:12: This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Joh: 15:13: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Joh: 15:14: Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
We are the Lord's friends if we do what the Lord commands us to do. If we do our own will we are not friends of the Lord, but of the world. There is no greater love than to lay down our life for a friend. An example of this would be the following: A man with a knife is going to kill another person, you step in the path and stand there. He stabs you, you die and he stabs the other person so they die. Your effort was not the way Christ showed you. You joined the other person in dieing. The way Christ did it was different: Your love for the innocent person should have been so much that when the man with the knife attacked, you fought to save the person that was being attacked, you give all you have for them. True love for another would not let you do anything less. If you cannot fight it is because of your love for self is greater than your love for another.
Christ fought for us and overcame death and took the keys to hell. This is love that finishes the job. We need to see how great a love God had for us by giving his only begotten Son. We cannot even begin to perceive the pain that the Father felt since we cannot understand what true love is.
Joh: 12:23: And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
Joh: 12:24: Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
How is Jesus to be glorified? The corn of wheat is Christ, which shall die and bring forth fruit. Christ died for us, not for himself since he could have stepped off this little planet and went back to his throne. He died for you and me so we can get into heaven. For those who do not want Christ, his blood will testify against them since they refused it.
Joh: 12:25: He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
Those who love their life do so in the flesh, those who hate life do so in the spirit. Let me explain what I am trying to say; someone who loves their life has enough of what they desire, wealth, health, material objects and worldly items to satisfy themselves. Someone who hates his life in the flesh, wishes he could serve his Lord better, his worldly desires cannot fill this void within him. He chooses his life's options according to the will of the Lord, but he can only be obedient in his love to Christ, he cannot do enough for the salvation that the Lord purchased. The desire of his heart is for Christ not his flesh.
Joh: 12:26: If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
All we can do as Christians is to be followers of Christ and serve our Lord Jesus. As Christians we are Crucified with Christ and living dead to sin. This is the new spirit that is within us that is contrary to the flesh. The new spirit is for our Christ and wars with the flesh all of our lives. We do not become new flesh, but only reborn in the spirit here. This new spirit desires to do the will of the Father as Christ did, but wars against the flesh that desires to follow the world. We must choose between being obedient to Christ or the flesh. This is in all our battles: overeating, anxiety attacks, greed, and all the desires of man's heart.
Joh: 12:27: Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
The soul of man is not obedient to Christ; it is the desires of the flesh. We must be obedient to the spirit that Christ made new within us. This new spirit wars with the flesh and Jesus had that same war within himself when he was here. Jesus was Godman and the man side warred as all flesh does. This means we have a Lord that knows how we feel and the battles that we must go through during this life since he did it without sin. He gives us a new spirit so that he can walk with us and help us on the way. He will never leave you, only you will once in awhile leave him due to sin that was your choice. This is common to all man and we will struggle during this life and war against the flesh for our Lord. If you do not war with the flesh then our spirit is the same as our flesh and the Lord does not dwell in you.
Joh: 12:28: Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
Joh: 12:29: The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
Joh: 12:30: Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
The voice was not so that Jesus could hear the Father since he always could, but so that the people would understand that Jesus is the messiah that was to come. The voice that came from heaven was to allow people to believe in Christ. We must believe in order to have faith in Christ. If we have faith in Christ we will do the will of the Father out of obedience and love. This will cause the flesh to war with our spirit. That saying (if it feels good do it) is not of our Lord but the prince of darkness. We must be careful to walk always in the light. We are to be walking lighthouses to the world which means there is not much light overall in this world, since you cannot tell the Christians from the rest of the world.
Joh: 12:37: But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
Joh: 12:38: That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
Joh: 12:39: Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
Joh: 12:40: He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
Joh: 12:41: These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
With all that had been done they still did not believe in Jesus. This is just like today. Christ purchased his believers with the blood of the cross. No belief no salvation either. The Lord is going to reign a thousand years in the millennium so that we can see that no matter what our Lord does, those that are not called by the Father will turn against our Christ and follow their father (Satan). As you read the Bible consider how many times the Lord has tried to reach and these refuse. How can they refuse so wonderful of a gift of pure love other than they are not of Christ?
The world is a garden and Christ is the vine of life. Only those who attach to Christ will grow in a new spirit. The world offers us the chance to live for our Lord and be a light shining bright for Christ. There is nothing that you will be able to do for the Lord in Heaven, it is only here so don't be stingy with your self. Pick up your cross and follow our Lord. On your cross you should find you crucified in Christ and standing upon the rock of your salvation.
Joh: 12:42: Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
Joh: 12:43: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
These that believed in Christ would not confess their belief because they wanted to stay popular with the world. They loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. This is like we are today but there is a powerful message here.
M't: 10:32: Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
M't: 10:33: But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
It is a sad thing to love the world more than the Lord, but it is even sadder to be the one that my Lord and Savior denies before the Father. If you do not have a new spirit to serve my Lord there is nothing of value within you.
Re: 6:16: And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
Men are going to hope for death rather than suffer the wrath of the Lamb in the last days. This is sad that people would rather serve their own desires than their Creator. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son to die for us, and we don't want him. This is a sad picture we have painted of mankind. If we do the works that God told us to do, we would honor his Son. Christ said to love one another as he loved us.
Christ rebuked demons, he healed the sick, he preached the word and he did the will of the Father. He rebuked the Pharisees because of their wickedness. He was not just love but was judgment also. We are not to be permissive to sin, but we are not to hunt the sinners. Christ saved us while we were sinners and we still are sinners. We love him because he first loved us. We must remember who we are and that Christ is our Creator, not our worldly buddy.
We also must remember that it is Christ who saves sinners not you and me.
Joh: 15:16: Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
The Lord must choose who he will call, not you or I. It is Christ who saves sinners. We are all born in sin destined to hell but whom Christ purchases will meet the Father. When you go to purchase something such as groceries, you choose what you are willing to purchase. This same rule applies to Christ, he chooses whom he will purchase. Let us not forget who God really is (not us).
Joh: 17:1: These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
Joh: 17:2: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
Once again we see that the ones the Father gives the Son, the Son will give eternal life to. If you do not want the Son you automatically do not get salvation. Only through Christ we are able to be set free. This is spiritual freedom and wherever we are in life it will allow us to be a light for the Lord.
Joh: 17:8: For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me
Joh: 17:9: I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine
We must believe that Christ is the only Begotten of the Father. Jesus does not plan on saving all that are in the world, only those that the Father has given him. Jesus did not pray for the world, but for his that are in the world. We are not to try to make a heaven here, but to be a light so others that are called by the Father can find their way.
Joh: 17:12: While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
We can now see that the son of perdition was lost, as the scripture states. Christ will only keep his sheep, not Satan's. Those of the world are servants of their master Satan. All those that do not come to Christ are automatically lost. There can be no other way. If they do not want Christ, the Father has not called them.
We are in this world to implement the Christian beliefs, not to hide from the world. You do not put a candle under a basket no more than the light of the world in a closet. We are sent out to live for our Lord amongst a world that does not serve our Lord. Those who believe that they can stay neutral are automatically lost since they did not choose salvation.
Joh: 16:12: I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
We must grow in the spirit and faith in Christ but we can only grow as fast as we can. The Lord has our whole life to help us on our way. Do not expect to much from those you help since at times they cannot bear them.
Ac: 10:29: Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
This is the Christian, we are to go without gainsaying, without worldly reasons such as needs for our self, but the need of another and the thought that we can serve our Lord. Other awareness allows us to consider things from a point of view uninjured by the world and secure in our Christ. Consider being invited to a wedding reception that is being held at a home that makes your skin crawl. The person who invited you, did so because you have helped them overcome some spiritual battles. No one else wants to go because it is a disgusting house, but you go because to those who invited you this is all they have and is their mansion. You go for them, not for you in any mannerism. This is the spirit of Christ working within you, it was the Lord's will that you go. Consider how disgusting our temple is that my Lord comes to meet with us. Your body (overweight, out of shape, screaming for comfort, self-indulged) is your temple where you meet with my Christ, so if you are too good to step over to help this poor person whose home looks better than your insides, you should reconsider your Christian walk.
