Who is Jesus Christ?

1Tm: 3:16: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

This is Jesus Christ, who is God manifest in the flesh. God was made man, and walked amongst us. Jesus was also justified in the Spirit, since he was God and man, or Godman.

Joh: 1:14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

M't: 1:20: But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

M't: 1:21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

M't: 1:22: Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

M't: 1:23: Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Jesus Christ was born into this world with a virgin birth. This is a miracle and must be accepted in order to believe that he is the Christ and received up into glory.

Behold a virgin is with child; conceived of the Holy Ghost. This is the only way that Jesus can be the messiah that the prophecy of the Old Testament refers to. If you have a problem with the idea that Christ was virgin born when the Bible so clearly reveals it, you must consider your belief system might not be working with God but against God.

Isa: 7:14: Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

It requires a miraculous birth for God to be manifest in the flesh. Also we must believe that the main context of the Bible is accurate in order to believe it is the inspired word. However do not confuse the idea so that the Bible becomes the point of worship instead of our Christ. It is the overall concepts that are more important than trying to design the Bible out of one verse. Jesus Christ is the word of God (The word was made flesh).

Joh: 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Jesus Christ is God (the Word was God), these words are hard for the flesh to accept but it is the spirit that will lead you to truth. We worship God in the spirit. Our being obedient in the spirit displays works in the flesh.

Joh: 1:2: The same was in the beginning with God.

Jesus Christ was in the beginning with God, is God, and is the word of God. The word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Christ brought two things into the world grace and truth. One must have spiritual truth in order to have salvation. These go together.

How can this be? Jesus Christ was in the beginning with God, is God. This is the trinity of God.

M't: 28:19: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

As we can see, the trinity of God is made up of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. Now the question is how can there be three, when God said:

Ex: 20:3: Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

M'r: 12:29: And Jesus answered him, the first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

The best way I can explain this is to use a comparison to show you the concept involved.

In a family business there is the father and his son. When a customer comes in for service, of anything, if the son takes care of the problem, it is the same as if the father did. This is because the son does his fathers will. This is the son's choice, to do the will of the father. The son and the father are the same.

Joh: 14:26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The Holy Ghost is our Comforter and teacher sent from God. This means each one of us is individually taught and in a relationship with Christ. Do not let someone or something get between you and your Christ.

Joh: 6:5: When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

Joh: 6:6: And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

Joh: 6:7: Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.

Joh: 6:8: One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,

Joh: 6:9: There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

Joh: 6:10: And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

Joh: 6:11: And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

Joh: 6:12: When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.

Joh: 6:13: Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

This is the way the Holy Ghost is sent out from Jesus. The only ones who had come to Jesus were the ones God called. Of the 5000 men all of them choose to eat (those called by God, have a heart for Christ) and there was an abundance of food left after the meal was handed out. This shows that the gifts from God are more than we can possibly take hold of. The blessings from God are abundant and more than sufficient.

Joh: 6:27: Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

Joh: 6:28: Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

Joh: 6:29: Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

We now see that God does accept works, only one however, and that is to believe on him whom God sent, Jesus Christ.

Joh: 6:33: For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

Joh: 6:34: Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

Joh: 6:35: And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Joh: 6:36: But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

Joh: 6:37: All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will not cast out. The only way to Jesus is the Father has to call you, and Jesus will not lose any of the ones God gives him. When the Father calls, (our heart will want Christ), we will come to Jesus, this is an absolute.

Joh: 6:39: And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Joh: 6:40: And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

God's will is that Jesus should not lose any. Jesus said he will not cast any out that the Father gives him, therefore all that the Father sends will be raised up at the last day by Christ. Jesus says he won't cast any out, we come to Christ as sinners in need of forgiveness of sin that we are repenting over. This means we could not stand what those sins were and the things we had done,(since God gave us a new heart to seek Christ). It is only through Christ that we can find peace in our soul from these sins and only sinners come to Christ. If you are not a sinner then you are calling God a liar (for all of man is born in sin) and you are not in the Christian walk. We can begin to see that the only way to Jesus is by the will of the Father and Jesus doesn't lose any that the Father sends.

This means we are not awesome people who come to God, because, it is God's work not ours. God calls us and we must go to Christ. Jesus is our creator and redeemer. We can no more change the need within us to seek our savior than we can decide to become taller. This is referred to as being reborn spiritually, when we turn to seek our Lord. Again only those who are called will seek him and believe in him,(since they have a new heart).

Joh: 6:44: No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh: 6:45: It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

No one comes to Christ unless the Father brings him. We are taught by God and God brings us to Christ. God sends the Holy Ghost to teach his called ones, the teaching that these receive is from and by God. This is why being a Christian is a personal relationship with the Lord.

Joh: 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Joh: 1:2: The same was in the beginning with God.

Joh: 1:3: All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Joh: 1:4: In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Jesus Christ is the word of God. All things were made by him. This means he is the creator. He made the heavens and the earth. He also made us. He was with God the Father in the beginning; he is the only begotten of the Father.

Joh: 1:14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Full of grace and truth, only through the Lord can one find truth. The world believes lies and will trust a liar more than the truth. The only way to seek the truth is through Christ and this requires a new heart. The next question that we must address is the cross. What is our belief of the crucifixion of Christ?

Joh: 1:29: The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Ac: 5:30: The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

Ac: 5:31: Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

So Christ is the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. It is only by the blood of Christ that the sacrifice is accepted for the cleansing of sin.

Heb: 9:22: And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

So for the remission of sin, there must be bloodshed and the blood of animals was only symbolic of the true Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.

Heb: 10:3: But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

Heb: 10:4: For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

Heb: 10:5: Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

The body was Jesus Christ. Now we are beginning to see how big the picture is that the Lord is trying to show us in the Bible. God had planned from the foundation of the world that he was going to call certain people and that salvation would be needed. He loved us before we were born, in that he knew from the beginning of creation that he would come into the world, be crucified, die and rise again on the third day. All this, so the ones the Father gave him, he could redeem from sin. If you are not a sinner then you are not one of the Lords, since he will not be redeeming you.

Col: 1:16: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Col: 1:17: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Col: 1:18: And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Col: 1:19: For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;

Col: 1:20: And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

So once again we see Jesus Christ is our creator, and by his word, all things consist. His love for his children is so great that he has allowed the worldly people who follow their prince (Satan) to continue, so that Christ's own can learn the ways of Christ and discern between their Christ and the world. He is also the head of the Church and the one you had better be praying to if you want salvation for there is no other name under heaven that you can be saved by. He also made peace between all of creation and the Father, by the blood of the cross. Remember it is the blood that was required to make peace with the Father.

So the next question we will look at is: did Jesus Christ have to do this for me?

Joh: 8:34: Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

Ro: 3:9: What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

Ro: 5:12: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

We now see that whosoever committeth sin is a servant of sin. We also see that all are under sin and have sinned, for man is born in sin. Death was passed on to all of man because of sin. Therefore if you are not a sinner you will not die, but we all die because we all have sinned. The closest that I can explain this would be as follows: Man is born on the wall of the pit, going to hell. He cannot climb upward, but falls downward periodically. The Lord Jesus Christ (our creator, the word of God) offers to those called by the Father a pardon and a free ride out, but man generally only takes a lift part way up and decides he can do the rest himself. The Lord chastises his own by letting them off part way up the pit. Then we find that we cannot make it alone and become obedient to the Lord and he brings us the rest of the way out. We do not change in one moment what takes a lifetime of obedience to achieve. This pardon costed our creator a perfect sacrifice that only he could do. It required his blood for our sin. This is the love of our Lord and Savior.

This love that Jesus Christ has for us changes us into a new creation. You must be reborn in order to have a relationship with the Lord, since he will not accept the things of this world. It is only through being reborn that you can perceive things spiritually instead of from the flesh. The flesh returns to the dust because there is no value in it. Jesus will give his believers a new body like unto his own and a new earth. Those people, who are trying to find a little heaven on this planet so they can live away from the world, are not living, as Jesus wanted! The Christians are to be a light in the world so those who are called can find the way to Christ. We are not to hide in a cave to keep the light from shinning bright, but to be reborn and shine on, so the others, desire to seek what we have in Christ because we are shinning so bright. Our Lord made his people to be like lighthouses for his own. This is the love of Christ, in eternity there will be no more pains, no more worldly feelings, no more sickness and eternal life. This is only through spiritual rebirth that we can achieve a relationship with our Lord and end with eternal life.

Joh: 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Joh: 3:17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Joh: 3:18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Joh: 3:19: And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Joh: 3:20: For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved

Man loves his sin and sin is transgression against God. Man chose darkness (evil, sin) rather than light. We have one who died for us, but we would rather serve our self. We are born in sin and the Lord gave us a way out but our deeds must be repented. If we do not desire a relationship with the Lord today, we may want to reconsider an eternity with him. You must have a love for Christ in order to want to spend all of eternity with him and enjoy worshiping him in this life in order to eternally do so later.

Joh: 3:3: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

2Co: 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Ga: 6:15: For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Ro: 7:6: But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Now we find that the only way we can follow our Lord is with a new spirit. That means our old spirit that we are born with is not acceptable. We are born in sin and have a sin spirit accordingly. We love our self, we are self-oriented, and we please our fleshly desires from our birth.

We must be reborn spiritually in order to serve and love our God. This concept we will call other awareness. We will cover this in the next chapter.

So the next question we will look at is: did Jesus Christ turn the other cheek on the cross? If Christ turned the other cheek on the cross, then he did not submit to the will of the Father by going there. The Father sent the Son to die for the sins of those who accept the blood for there salvation.

M't: 26:39: And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Now the crucifixion was the will of the Father so that Jesus could purchase (with blood) all that the Father gave him. Jesus was Godman (both God and Man) and felt all the pains and infirmities that we do as man but he was without sin as God. God cannot sin and man felt all the pains of the world. Jesus is able to understand all that you have to tell him, since he has felt all the pain this world had to offer for all those that his blood will pay for and all of creation.

Ac: 20:28: Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Joh: 17:12: While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

We can now see that the love that Jesus has for us is because of who our Lord is, not who we are. We love Christ because he first loved us. He loved us while we were lost and made a way, that we could receive salvation, from a righteous God, that will not accept sin, but has prepared a Day of Judgment and resurrection to damnation. God cannot love you into heaven but has prepared a way for his children because of his love.

Now the question is: could our creator's hand of salvation be too short for some? Who was the son of perdition that was lost?

Joh: 6:70: Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

Joh: 6:64: But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

Jesus knew that Judas would betray him, and yet he chose him even though from the beginning Judas believed not. Judas was there for the money that he took care of. This shows us that it was his will to go to the cross and that he had planned to do so from the beginning. I guess we should consider when was the beginning that we are referring to?

Ge: 3:15: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The woman's seed is Jesus Christ and the serpent is Satan. This is the first mention that Christ would have to save us from sin and being a servant of sin, also known as, a servant of Satan. Without Christ we are already lost and Jesus is the only redeemer. Now you can see that Christ's love is because of who Christ is, not who we are. We were lost sinners and our Lord died for us. How much more shall he do for us now that he has returned to his throne.

Joh: 8:44: Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

We can see that Satan is the father of lies and sin, in contrast to Jesus Christ being full of grace and truth. There is no center on the road. We are all born, owned by Satan, on the same side of the road, lost in sin. If we want to live someplace else then we have to cross the road. All that is on the other side is Christ, so if you are not a true Christian then you are truly a lost sinner owned by Satan. We automatically receive hell for not choosing Christ. Our next question is how or who can come to the Lord?

Joh: 6:65: And he said, therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Ac: 26:18: To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

We now see that the Father has to call them, to open their eyes, from the power of Satan unto God. We are born in sin and without Christ's blood we die in sin, and all sinners will be judged and receive their due reward of resurrection to damnation. From the power of Satan? What's this mean?

Ga: 3:22: But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

Joh: 8:41: Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

Joh: 8:42: Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

Joh: 8:43: Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

Joh: 8:44: Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Joh: 8:45: And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Joh: 8:46: Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

Joh: 8:47: He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

This shows us that some are not God's people. God's children hear his words and obey. Satan's children hear Satan's words and obey. All people are born into this world on Satan's side because we are all born in sin. The difference is that God's children have a new spirit (like a mustard seed, a gift from God) that through the chastening of the Lord they grow towards the light. This chastening is not our credit but the Lord's. We do not choose who comes to Christ, only the Father decides who he will call. When we witness about Jesus, we do not cause them to change, only the Father can decide who comes. Our witness is for us, if we love Christ we can do no less than share such a wonderful thing as salvation. If they grow because of this, it was the Lord's doing not ours.

We must remember that Jesus is the savior not us. We are not the Christ, therefore we should not try to judge others but share our precious love of Christ with them. It is by this sharing that others desire what we have, instead of judging and condemning others to turn them away so we look good. Jesus will not be happy with those who misrepresent him.

Heb: 12:5: And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

Heb: 12:6: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Heb: 12:7: If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Heb: 12:8: But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

God loves his creation, but hates sin. God gave us Jesus blood for our redemption because he cannot accept sin. Those who hate Christ hate the Father and Jesus calls them bastards and Satan's. Now we can see that the Lord is the one that causes us to grow in the spirit, by chastening us who are his children.

An example of this would be a father correcting his small child because he is walking in a direction of danger. The father would tell the child no and redirect them. Then the father would continue to direct them on their walk in life. Turning them as needed to keep them on the good path.

We have a wonderful Father in heaven who loves us and gave his only begotten Son to die for us and raised him from the dead on the third day as a testimony of assurance that he will be there for us for all time. Jesus was raised from the dead so that we know we can depend on him for our salvation. We must believe in his resurrection from the dead in order to believe in our redemption.

Lu: 9:22: Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes. Once again we can see that the rulers of the church and the political party were corrupt. They were the ones that rejected our savior and were not his children, since they did not repent of what they did. This is our Lord and savior that is seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven. Now our Lord paid for our sins with his blood on the cross, because the Father cannot accept us any other way than covered in the blood of Christ. God is righteous and will not allow any sin or unrighteousness in heaven. We now find we are saved by the blood of Christ and that the love of God, gave us this option. There is no other way to the Father, but by the son.

Joh: 3:12: If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

Joh: 3:13: And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

The son of man is Jesus Christ, and Jesus came down from heaven to a virgin birth (conceived by the Holy Spirit, sent from God), ascended up to heaven the third day after his crucifixion. The virgin birth means Jesus Christ was born a Godman, man and God at the same time. He also was in heaven when he was here. The Lord said this "the Son of man which is in heaven" when he was here because the kingdom of heaven was at hand, since God (also known as Jesus Christ) was on earth.

Joh: 3:14: And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

This was a forewarning that Jesus would be crucified. In the wilderness when Moses lifted up the serpent the children of Israel had sinned and would look at the serpent on the cross for redemption from the bite of the serpent the Lord sent upon them for judgment.

This shows us that God cannot accept sinners, since he must judge sin, but gave us a way to be cleansed. The blood of Christ redeems lost sinners since all who have sinned are lost.

Joh: 3:15: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

This is our pardon from hell and sin. This is the only pardon that God has given us. We cannot get into heaven through good works, although good works are a result of faith, but it is the faith in Christ that redeems us. You cannot pray to mother Mary for your salvation either. The Father gave his only begotten Son and we must believe the Son who purchased us while we were lost. If you do not accept the Son, you automatically refuse his Father, since the Father sent him. Mother Mary died and did not rise on the third day. She was blessed among woman but still only a woman and dead. She cannot help you since Christ also has to be her savior or she will be lost.

Mary was chosen because our Lord wanted to redeem us, not because Mary was so awesome. Mary was blessed because she was chosen by the Lord and allowed to be the mother of the baby Jesus. This was the Lord's doing not Mary's. We must remember that we must have a relationship with our savior in order to receive salvation. A relationship with Mary will do you no better than a relationship with a coffee cup. There is no other way for salvation other than Christ, the only begotten of the Father, who came down from heaven and returned to heaven (seated at the right hand of the Father) to insure our salvation in him. If you choose another way, whatever it is, it will be no different than Satan, who would not accept God's way either. Therefore you are one of Satan's if you do not accept Christ.

Joh: 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

Joh: 3:17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

We were already condemned to hell for our sin. We all have sinned and we all die because of sin. God's love gave us his only begotten Son to pay for our sin that through Christ's righteousness we may have eternal life.

Joh: 3:18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

He is condemned already because we are all born in sin. We are all lost except for salvation through Christ. If we do not accept Christ we just continue our journey to Hell. There is no center ground.

Joh: 3:19: And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Man is a natural sinner. We need to meet Jesus our creator in repentance of our sin, not as though we are deserving of better because we are so good, for we all are sinners. Our condemnation is that we like our sin more than we like truth and Christ. Otherwise we would repent of our sin and turn to the light. People who have a problem with Christ, are really saying they have a problem with sin.

Joh: 3:20: For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Once again we see that we must come to Christ in repentance of our sin. The only way to God the Father is through Jesus Christ his only begotten Son. We must repent our ways in order to come to Christ. Repentance causes a change in direction of our travel in this life. People who say they are born that way (gays, people full of hate, murderers, etc.) are not repenting of the sin in their life since they enjoy their sickness and are not in the truth. Only through Christ can one find truth, therefore they are not in Christ.

Joh: 3:21: But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

We see that we must also do truth to come to the light. Jesus Christ brought truth and grace into this world. Satan brought sin and lies. The truth is that we are sinners and must come to Christ in repentance for these sins.

We can see who we are working for, by what we do. This is so we may judge ourselves, not others. We know our heart but God knows everyone's heart. We can only seek the Lord through repentance of our sin.

1Pe: 1:2: Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Called and chosen by God the Father, unto sanctification (correction implemented by God), unto obedience (doing the will of God because we desire to), sprinkling of the blood of Jesus (this is after obedience has been reached). The blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is so very precious that it will not be wasted ever. This is why the Lord only gives his blood after we have reached the point of obedience. Otherwise there would be no salvation for someone who turned away at sanctification since the blood would have been lost. During sanctification the Lord is making us choose the right things, while we are generally on the wrong road. He directs us back to the path we need to be on. The blood of Christ will cover all our sins, but the Lord gives us the order in which he does it.

We do not receive the blood at the moment we accept Christ, it is only at the point that we become obedient to Christ that we receive this great gift. Only Christ knows when each of us receives this and we do not decide. It is much like getting a present from someone you know unexpectedly. The gift received is because of them not you.

Joh: 5:22: For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

Joh: 5:23: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

The Father sent the Son to purchase lost sinners, therefore the Father has given the judgment of man to Jesus Christ the owner of those who receive redemption (purchased by the blood of Christ). Those who do not accept the Son are already lost, and confirming it by turning against the Son. The Son of God paid for all of creation with his blood, but only that which the Father gives him will he keep.

Joh: 5:24: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Joh: 5:25: Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

We are dead in our sin, and those who hear the voice of Christ shall live. They shall pass from death unto life, all others go downstairs naturally.

Joh: 5:26: For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

Joh: 5:27: And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

Joh: 5:28: Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

Joh: 5:29: And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

We now see that all people will stand before Christ in the end. When Christ calls everyone, everyone will come, some to life and some to damnation. This shows us that God decides who he will call, to come to Christ. If God called everyone, they would all be there. It is God who chooses whom he will call. The potter has control as to how he makes the pottery. If a potter can decide how he makes pottery, how much more can Christ decide how he made us? Some to resurrection to life and some to resurrection to damnation.

Joh: 10:7: Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

Joh: 10:8: All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

Joh: 10:9: I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Joh: 10:10: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Joh: 10:11: I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Once again we see there are two types of people in the world. Those of the world and those of the good Shepard. The sheep hear the voice of their Shepard and follow him. The good Shepard is the Lord Jesus and his sheep are those that hear his voice. They must be called by the Father to hear the Son's voice. If the Father calls them, they cannot ignore their call. If they are in the grave and God calls them they will answer. How can we not follow our Lord if we are called? Christ called Lazarus from the grave and he came forth. Christ rebuked demons and they had to obey. Christians must also obey if they are the Lords, but the obedience should be a freewill offering because Christ loved us first, while we were dead in our sin.

Joh: 10:14: I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

The Lord is known by his sheep. If someone cannot understand this, then sin is in the way.

Joh: 10:15: As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

Joh: 10:16: And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

Joh: 10:17: Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

Joh: 10:18: No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father

No man taketh it from me, this shows that the Lord did not turn the other cheek at the cross. He laid down his life as a freewill offering for my sins and yours. This is Christ, our creator, the word of God, how can anyone believe that God could not win a battle against little puny man. Jesus fought a bigger battle than we realize at the cross. He fought for my salvation and for yours and won.

Joh: 10:27: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Joh: 10:28: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Joh: 10:29: My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Joh: 10:30: I and my Father are one.

My sheep hear my voice, these are first called by the Father and they will follow Christ. Satan cannot take the Lord's people, so we are safe in the Lord.

In the beginning was the word and the word was with God, the word was God. Jesus Christ was in the beginning and created all things. He was born of a virgin showing that he was the only begotten Son (Godman). He chose to purchase us with his blood. This was the only way that God can accept us, is by Christ's payment for our sin.

Our Lord loved us while we were lost and gave his life for our salvation. How can we not accept such a wonderful gift from God.

2Tm: 1:9: Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

2Tm: 1:10: But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Jesus has saved us according to his own purpose and grace. This is the whole idea that Christ saved us not for who we are but for who he is. We think to highly of ourself and not enough of the living God. We must remember that salvation is a gift, since we had nothing, that could possibly pay the price. It is our Lord who saves and who changes people into a new creation. We are lucky enough to be able to see the great works of God in our lives, we should remember to be thankful for the blessings we have received that we did not deserve.
