Chapter Ten *The Tulsa Place*

After they Hanson family and friends had left the cemetary the girls left to go to the hotel. They still had one more day to be there until their flight back to Boston. Tissues weren’t enough to console them. Even people weren’t enough. They needed Taylor to be there telling them to “get up on their feet” or “this is a Hanson concert you can NOT sit down.” Even though the police found something that might have been the cause of death nobody could believe it. Nobody wanted to believe it. Trying to find a cab was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. People were swarming into them like bees to flowers.

“Well I don’t think we are going to be able to find a cab. I guess we’ll have to walk.” Mrs. Hogan said after trying to find a cab for twenty minutes. The girls agreed after snapping out of their daydreams back into reality that was their tragic lives. Monique, Amy, and April took one last look at the cemetary and walked away. Walking away from their passion, their whole being, but definetly not walking away from Hanson. They have been there way too much for the girls to turn their backs on them now. When they needed their comfort. Nobody knew what they, the Hanson family, was going through but the fans knew some what more than any other person. The way back to the hotel was mostly silent. They heard the occasional sniff or cough.

“April?” Someone said from behind. April turned around to find Mariah, the girl from the plane.

“Mariah how are you doing?” April said giving her a hug.

“I’m doing alright I guess. Today was so hard you wouldn’t even believe.” She said. “Oh hi Amy.” She said noticing Amy standing next to Monique. She walked over to her and gave her a hug.

“I know how you feel. We all know how you feel. Everyone around you knows how you feel. Taylor was a great loss to the music business. His passion for his music was and still is great.” April said. Mariah followed her with her friends and a few adults. Everyone got to know one another.

“So Mariah were are you staying?” Monique said.

“Umm at the hotel nearest the church I didn’t even look at the name.” She said almost laughing. It was hard for anyone to laugh even at the funniest joke.

“Is it the Tulsa Place?” Mrs. Hogan said to her. Mariah looked back at her mother and she nodded “yes” to her.

“Yep how’d you know?”

“We are staying there.”

“Really? Wow thats weird....” She said stopping. Every word that had something to do with Hanson made everyone stop talking. It was so hard to get through this but with the power of friendship between all Hanson fans it would gradually get better. Finally they stopped at the hotel and went inside. It was almost five o’clock in the evening and everyone was hungry. Mariah’s mother asked if they would like to go out with them. Dynasty and Mrs. Hogan agreed. They needed to take a shower and get dressed so they decided to meet in the hotel’s lobby around seven. The girls made their way into the elevator and up to their floor. Closing the door was like closing a chapter in their lives. They made it through that day and they knew that they would be able to make it through this rough time. Hanson was going to stay alive in their hearts and souls for as long as they were alive on this Earth. Even though now it felt like this Earth was filled with suffering they knew that one day it would be restored to happieness. Just like before and Hanson concerts would still be played and their lives would go back to the way it was. They hoped!
