Chapter Fifteen *The Sun*

“Thank you for flying with us. Enjoy your stay here in Boston.” The flight attendent said to everyone as they exited the plane.

“I guess Mariah didn’t have this flight.” April said as she watched the other people get off of the plane.

“I guess. C’mon I can hear our baggages coming already.” Monique said pulling April towards the baggage claim area. They got to the baggage claim just in time because their bags were coming down the conveyor belt. The girls had long faces because they had missed Taylor so much. Nobody could believe that he was really gone. Nobody knew what may lie ahead for them. What the long narorrow road that was there lives would take them. Maybe they would eventually get over it and remember the concerts and the appearances. Something inside of the three girls from Boston, Massachusetts would always keep this memory of those three days in Tulsa in their hearts.

“Does everyone have their bags?” Mrs. Hogan said counting all of the bags that were on sprawled out on the floor of Logan International Airport’s baggage claim. “Ok then lets head out. I’ll call my husband and tell him that we are home.” She said walking to the pay phone.

“Home.” Amy said under her breath. Whats home? Who is here? The main question was who wasn’t. Someone she had always admired from afar. Someone she intended on meeting one day and tell that he had saved her life.

April looked at the gloomy Boston street as she waited with her friends and mother for her father to come and pick them up. The sun was bright on this May afternoon but everything just looked dead to her. This experience was to hard for her to hold inside. Even though her feelings were always kept inside of her she couldn’t anymore. “NOOOOOOOOOOO” she screamed out loud. It scared everyone even people who were just walking by. April feel to the ground in tears rocking back and forth saying the same word “no.” Everyone went down to her. Her mother consoled her and the girls told her that it would be alright. “No everything is NOT going to be ok.” She said pushing everyone off of her.

“Just leave her alone. Let her calm herself down.” Mrs. Hogan said. She had never seen her daughter like that before.

April is right everything is not ok. It will never be ok. Monique thought to herself. Hot tears were streaming down her face. After about ten minutes April had calmed down and they stood again waiting for Mr. Hogan to pick them up. It was like nothing had even happened.

“Finally.” April and Amy said at the same time when they saw the burgandy Ford Contour pull up to the curb. Out came a smiling Jim Hogan. Why is he smiling? Doesn’t he feel any pain? His daughter said to herself. She gave her dad a hug and got into the car. Sitting side by sid the three girls of Dynasty had matured from when they had gotten out of the same car only three days before. Just then the sun shone through the clouds. “Everything is going to be alright.” April said just loud enough for Monique to hear her. Monique put her arm around April.

“Yeah it has to be lets be strong for Taylor’s sake.” Monique whispered into April’s ear.
