Chapter Twenty-Two *Thinking Of You...I adore you*

“Yes can I please speak to April Hogan.”

“Who may I ask is this?” Mrs. Hogan asked the person on the other end of the phone.

“This is Mr. Garret’s secretary.”

“Oh well please hold while I go and get my daughter.” Mrs. Hogan set the reciever down on the end table in the living room and walked down the spiral staircase. She knocked on April’s door. Her music was shut off and she came to the door.

“Yeah mom?”

“April telephone. Its Mr. Garret’s secretary.” Her mother raised an eyebrow to her. April gave her mother and odd expression and walked to her desk where her phone was.

“Hello?”

“April, this is Mr. Garret’s secretary. He wanted to know when you are available for a meeting.”

“Oh well I’m available this Saturday at any time. I don’t know about Monique though. She has come down with a small cold.”

“Oh well, if one of you two are here it will be fine. How about this Saturday at nine AM?”

“Hold on please let me go and ask my mother.”

“Ok dear.” April put down the reciever and rolled her eyes. She hated when people called her dear it was so childish. April was almost sixteen and wanted to be treated as if she was. When she put the reciever down she looked up and say Taylor’s smiling face on one of her posters. A small tear fell off of her cheek. She wipped it away and proceeded to go up and find her mother. She discussed it and her mother said that she would drive her.

“My mother said that she can drive me. Is anyone else going to be at this meeting?” April wanted to know just in case she had to prepare anything.

“Representatives of the Yankee Candle Shop and a few executives from the Tweeter Center along with Mr. Garret of course.”

“Yes, of course.” April smiled. People always said “yes of course” when someone said that in a movie. She always wanted to say that to someone.

“Well, Ms. Hogan we’ll see you on Saturday at nine o’clock sharp.”

“Ok thank you for calling me.” April hung up the phone and sank into her chair. She sat there staring at Taylor’s picture. Memorized by it for some strang reason. “Taylor this is for you. Your fans adore you. I adore you and always will. I wish you were still here.” April put her head down on her desk and cried. She cried like she just found out about Taylor’s death. Cried out all of the pain that was building up inside of her. For once April was thinking about herself and not someone else. The telephone ring scared her.
