The next morning. A.J. awoke to the phone ringing. He reached over Kara trying not to wake her.

"Hello" A.J. said.

"Hey bone" A women’s voice said.

"Amanda"? A.J. asked whispering.

"Yeah, don’t tell me you forgot my voice" Amanda responded.

"So what do you want" A.J. said.

"Well I was wondering if I could come up and see you…word is you are in New York" Amanda said.

"I don’t know…" A.J. began saying.

"What did you already find some other girl"? Amanda asked.

"Well it is more than that…I have a girlfriend now," A.J. said while Kara awoke from her sleep.

"Who you talkin to sweetie" Kara said running her hands through his messy hair.

"Shit A.J. she is in bed with you" Amanda said raising her voice so that Kara could hear her.

"Alex, tell me" Kara said with an angry face.

A.J. just stared at her not knowing what to do.

"Hello…A.J. who is the girl you are talking to" Kara said sitting up on the bed.

"Baby, it is only my cousin" A.J. said covering up the phone.

"Okay…let me give you some privacy," Kara said getting up and leaving the room.

Talking back into the phone.

"Amanda I don’t think it would be a good idea for you to come up here" A.J. said.

"Why not…I thought you said we were still friends, at least that is what I hear you say in all those interviews" Amanda replied.

"We are, but…" A.J. said before he was cut off.

"Okay then, tell me what hotel you are in and I will be there tonight," Amanda said.

For some reason A.J. let her know what hotel to find him in and the room number. I mean after all they are still friends. He just hoped Kara would understand.

Andy awoke to the hearing the shower running. She decided to order some room service while Howie showered. About 15 minutes later Howie came out wearing blue jeans and a white tee shirt and had his sneakers on.

"Good morning baby doll…did you sleep well"? Howie asked walking up to her.

"Yes I did…are you headed out somewhere?" Andy asked getting up from the couch.

"Well we have some sort of business meeting" Howie replied with a sad face.

"Oh poor baby…Well I’ll order us some breakfast" Andy replied putting her arms around his neck.

Thank you…what would I do with out you?" Howie replied leaning down for a kiss.

"I don’t think so," Andy said backing away.

"What"? Howie asked.

"Morning breath…let me brush my teeth first" Andy replied running off.

Soon the food arrived and they ate pretty much in quiet.

"Shoot I have to run" Howie said after looking at the clock.

"Already…what time will you be back?" Andy asked.

" I don’t know, but I’ll call you" Howie said holding her tight and giving her a very passionate French kiss, and then closing the door behind him.

Back at A.J. and Kara’s room. After hanging up A.J. headed into the living room, to find Kara sitting on the couch with remote in hand.

"Hey honey" A.J. said taking a seat next to her.

"So what did your cousin want"? Kara asked turning to face him

A.J. turned red in the face, "Oh she just wanted to know how I was doing"

"That is very sweet of her…so what’s the plan for today" Kara asked rubbing his chest.

"Oh I was thinking we could all just hang out today seeing how tomorrow is our last day here in New York" A.J. said playing with her hair.

"Sounds g…" Kara began saying until the hotel phone began ringing.

A.J. got up to answer it.

"Bone speaking"

"Great way to answer the phone, anyway we have some business meeting in my suite" Kevin said.

"When"

"Now"

"Wait, what about Brian and Nick"

"What about them"

"Shouldn’t they be at the meeting too"

"They are here…they came in last night"

"Okay, give me 15 minutes" A.J. said before hanging up.

When A.J. turned to tell Kara, she was no where to be found. He walked back into the bedroom to find her lying on the bed.

"Everything okay"? He asked.

"Yeah, just cramps" She answered.

"Dam I wish I could stay in bed with you, but we have some meeting in Kevin’s suite" He said rubbing her arm.

"That’s okay Bone, I’ll be okay" She said.

A.J. began changing right in front of Kara; they had gotten very comfortable with each other. When he was done.

"Okay I’m out, call if you need anything baby" A.J. said walking over to her and giving her a soft kiss on the lips.

In Kevin’s suite.

"What is this meeting about"? Nick asked drinking a coke.

"Well this is about the whole mess going on with Jive" Kevin informed him.

"Oh…so how long is this going to take"? A.J. asked.

"I don’t know like an hour" Dave said (there manager person).

An hour later when the meeting was over. All the boys sat around Kevin’s suite after Dave left.

"So what is everybody doing today"? Brian asked.

"Shit that reminds me, Kara isn’t feeling to good, I’m going to go check on her" A.J. said running out of the door.

"Okay, what about you Howie…do you and Andy have plans" Brian asked.

"You mean does Andy have any plans for Howie" Nick stated.

"What does that mean"? Howie asked confused.

"You know she has you in check" Nick said smiling.

"No she doesn’t" Howie said.

"Okay whatever" Nick said getting up to leave.

"Where you headed off to Nick" Brian asked.

"Play so basketball, wanna join"? Nick asked opening the door.

"Yeah…later guys" Brian said slamming the door.

"So, I should go back to my room" Howie said leaving.

"Okay then" Kevin said disappearing into the bedroom of the suite.

When Howie arrived back to the room he found Andy on the couch talking on the phone. He decided to just sit next to her and wait for her to finish her call.

Andy talking into the phone, "No I am not lying…dam how many times do you want me to tell you"

Howie looked up at her and she placed a smile on her face.

"Do you want to talk to him"? Andy asked the person on the line.

"Howie do you mind if you talk to my sister Missy, she doesn’t believe I have spent the week in New York with the Backstreet Boys" Andy asked him.

He took the phone from Andy.

"Hi Missy" He said in a very sweet voice.

"Omigod" Was all Missy could say.

"So how are you doing"? Howie asked.

"Good…and you"

"Very good"

"I don’t mean to be rude, but where is Nick"

"No I don’t mind, he went out with Brian to play basketball"

"Oh" Missy said sounding sad.

"Well I’ll tell him his biggest fan Missy was asking for him"

Back In A.J.’s room. He walked into the room to find Kara lying on her side with her eyes open.

"Feeling better," He asked walking over to her.

"I guess…I need you"

"I’m here" A.J. began to disrobe and was only in his boxers and crawled into the bed with her. He wrapped his arms around her waist. Whispering sweet nothings in her ear.

"Baby" A.J., said.

"Yeah"

"Promise me you won’t get mad"

"What is it"

"Promise me"

Kara turned on her other side so she was facing him, "I promise"

"Okay earlier today when I told you that my cousin called…well she wasn’t my cousin, she was my ex…my ex girlfriend"

"Really, why did you lie to me"

"I don’t know, I’m sorry"

"Well what did she want"

"She wanted to come to the hotel room and pay me a visit"

"Really"

"Well see we are still friends…so I kind of told her it was alright for her to come tonight"

"I see, I understand…she just better keep her hands off my Alexander" Kara said joking.

"I knew you would understand"

"So what’s her name"

"Amanda"

Kara and Howie were headed off to hang around the city. Kara wore her tight dark blue jeans and her red tank top. Howie still had his tee shirt and jeans on. They were just steeping out of their hotel room.

"Oh I forgot my wallet" Howie said re-opening the door.

"Hurry up" Andy said.

While Howie was getting his wallet Kevin walked out of his room.

“Hey”

“So everything is cool with you and Howie I see”

“Yeah, he understood that the kiss meant nothing to me”

“Really”

“Yeah”

“Well that’s good...anyway I just want to aploigize for kissing you”

“It’s okay...I’m just glad Howie understood”

“I just wish he would talk to me”

“He’ll come around...” Andy began saying before Howie came out.

“Okay, all set” He said looking Kevin is the eye.

“Baby lets go” Andy said grabbing his hand and dragging him into the elevator.

In the elevator Andy didn’t say much.

“What’s wrong babe”? Howie asked.

“Nothing”

“Are you sure”?

“Yeah, I guess it was just kind of weird facing Kevin after last night”

“Oh, just put that behind you…today is our last day together”

“Your right I just…” Andy began saying until her cell phone began ringing”

“Hello” she said into the phone.

“Hey Andy…where are you” Kara asked.

“Oh I’m in the elevator with Howie, were going to check out the city…why”?

“Oh, I just wanted it to be just us girls today, but your busy, so that’s cool”

“You sure”?

“Yeah, I just need to talk to you”

“About what”?

“I’ll talk to you later, don’t have too much fun” Kara said hanging up the phone.

Kara and A.J. sat around the hotel doing a whole lot of nothing. A.J. could definitely sense that Kara wasn’t totally okay with the fact that Amanda was coming tonight. She hadn’t really said anything to him for the rest of the day. She was just sitting on the couch staring at the television. A.J. took a seat next to her.

“Kara you okay”?

“Um, yeah just thinking”

“About what”?

“Nothing, look I have to get out of this room”

“Okay where do you want us to go”?

“OKAY, who said anything about us”? Kara asked with a dead serious voice.

“Oh, so you want to go out alone”

“Yeah, I need to hang out with myself”

“I see, are you mad at me or something”?

“A.J., not everything is about you”

“Dam Kara, how are we supposed to make this relationship work, if you don’t tell me your feelings” “Bone, I’m not in the mood to argue with you” Kara said before going into the bedroom to change”

She came out wearing her dark blue flare our jeans, tight plain black shirt, and her boots. She found A.J. sitting on the couch talking on the phone. She grabbed her coat and began to open the door.

“Hold on…wait Kara” A.J. said putting the phone down.

“What”?

“Where you going”?

“Out”

“Baby don’t be like this, talk to me” “We don’t have anything to talk about

"Plese baby"

"Why is it so hard for you to digest that I just want to hang by myself…I mean do we have to do everything together”

“No, but I want to know where my girl is going”

“I think I might just go shopping or something”

“Okay have fun, and call me”

“I will” Kara said. A.J. leaned in to give her a sweet kiss on the lips, but she turned her head so he kissed her on the check. With that she walked out of their suite.
