Sometimes simplicity is the key to fun things. I've thought it would really be nice to have an Ami car. And here they were - two Ami8s. Acquired at price DEM 30,- each (however, I paid DEM 150,oo for the towing service). The first one with really good engine and gearbox, but rotten to death and the other with seized engine (after 10 years standing still) and only 10,000 miles (16,000 km) on the clock. Some facts deny that, but many parts looked almost as new. The car was found in the middle of the lawny yard and has spent some years in the open, so the weather has contributed its own to the condition of the car in spite of the low mileage.
