THE GREATEST PAIN

The greatest pain in life is not to die,
but to live a barren life;
to suffer your heart to love and fall
for a person who doesn't even care at all;
to have a number of friends you want to call upon,
yet not have one to rely on;
to think you have almost everything
yet in reality have only nothing.

The greatest pain in life is not to die,
but to be turned to dust and shards,
even after a great achievement or award;
when you share your innermost thoughts to ponder on
yet get a barrel of laughs in return;
when you need someone to boost your morale high
but everybody's just too busy and hides;
when it seems like the only person
who cares about you,
is You, You and You!

The greatest pain in life is not to die,
but to become a silent martyr;
to hold on to broken promises and dreams,
that tangle the heartstrings in its existence;
to wait for something wonderful to occur,
when in truth the blues haven't changed its colors;
to try your best to change into someone better
but the one you change for doesn't care or think it matters.

to feel such bliss upon hearing him whisper,
sweet lies that later on you cannot anymore decipher;
to be in ecstatic illusion that makes your heart go pitter-patter,
then later realizing it's all a shamble;
to heed the words "I love you" from somebody you love
that bursts your heart then leaves it apart.

Life is all about aches and pains,
leaving us to wonder if it gets better.
Will people learn to be more sensitive with each other
and make time for those who matter?
In this show called life, each of us is a major cast
performing complicated but unique tasks.
Each one of us has a duty to tell the people we love that we care,
and best of all to show the feeling even when we're not there.
Otherwise we will not be punished.
But we too will be ignored and forgotten,
Just as we ourselves ignore and forget.
This, in life, is the greatest pain…

A POEM

Which is which
My heart's on a twitch
If I stay in love with you
Can I be strong and true?
Can I find happiness?
Or will it be loneliness?
I dare not judge
For things shall come to pass...

Should tears befall my eyes,
And ears shall hear only lies
These will not count
My heart shall know
naught but loving you!
Yet on the other hand
Should I not love you,
Mine heart would be free from wounds
But all would be plain and blue…

OH HEART!
Thou be strong and true
For you chose to love…
Hope amidst the loneliness
Ye may find happiness
Rely not on your strength,
For you are weak
But put your faith and trust in His!

You shall never know the sweetness
Not 'til you taste the bitterness
Though you may shed tears, remember
... it doesn't always mean frailty or weakness
Just hold on through the rain
Let the harsh wind bury your pain
You'll see... soon the first rays of the sun shall shine on you
And great shall be its beauty and radiance
