NAME: Lauralanthalasa AKA Laurana

RACE: Immortal

DESCRIPTION: Laurana is a young woman of surpassing
beauty. Her long golden blonde hair
cascades down her back like silk and touches her wrists
when she stands with her hands at her
sides. Her eyes are as blue as the summer sky. She
stands at about 5'5" tall and is in great physical
shape with a slender waist, flat stomach, and ample chest.

SKILLS/POWERS: Laurana is a powerful sorceress
and a skillful swordswoman. Though she
tends to rely more on her spellcasting abilities
than her swordfighting. She has the ability
to cast many different spells and, in times
of need, she can call upon her companion, a huge gold dragon,
for help. She is also telepathic.

BACKGROUND: Laurana is immortal, though not a
goddess. She was born on Tarsus, the Island of
Dragons to the royal couple. She was thier only child
and was loved dearly by both her people and
the dragons that populate the island. The young
princess befriended a gold dragon who's name
is Bowen. Bowen became the girl's protector
and also her mentor. He taught her all she
knows about spellcasting. Laurana was a fast learner
and quickly became a powerful sorceress.
She also learned to wield a sword
despite the protests of her mother. Bowen gave her an
enchanted sword called the Sword of Tarsus.
This Sword has several powers. It protects its user
by generating a circle of protection around
them and any good person within a 4' radius
of the wielder will also be protected.
The Sword of Tarsus also has the ability to warn
its master of danger by glowing bright green. The closer
the danger the brighter the glow. Also
when in the presence of any dragon the sword will hum softly.
The hum is so soft, however, that it is
barely audible. The sword also has the ability
to heal people who are good and cannot be
used for evil. If used for evil the sword will
turn against its wielder. Laurana is the only
person who can wield it because it was forged
for her and her alone. One day when Laurana
was about 21 she got into a fight with
Jaeden, a young warrior who wanted to rule Tarsus. He
thought he would begin his reign by killing
the royal family, begining with the princess. Laurana
and Jaeden fought long and hard. That is
until Laurana was badly wounded. Jaeden had
somehow managed to get past Laurana's circle of
protection and she was stabbed through the heart.
Had it not been for Bowen she would have surely died.
The dragon, seeing his long time friend
lying in a pool of her own blood, did the only thing he
could. He gave the girl half of his heart. The
wound was healed and thus Laurana became immortal.
She and Bowen are one and as long as he
lives she cannot die. There is only one person
who knows Laurana's secret and that is Hercules.
Not even the gods know what Bowen has done.
Hercules has vowed to keep this secret for
as long as he lives. Laurana knows that he will.
She loves Hercules and he loves her and will never
do anything to hurt her.
