Medea

NAME: Medea

RACE: Goddess

DESCRIPTION: Medea has long dark hair that reaches to the middle of her back and piercing ice-blue eyes. She is 5'7" and has the lithe strong body of an athlete.

SKILLS/POWERS: Medea is an excellent warrior much like her father. She carries an enchanted sword which was forged by Hephaestus. The sword is a "final word" sword which means it always strikes the final blow in any battle. The sword also has other unique abilities such as the ability to speak or use telepathy. Also the blade will glow with a soft green light or hum softly to warn Medea of impending danger. Medea has the ability to throw fireballs and lightning bolts. She can become invisible at will and can teleport. She is also a powerful sorceress.

BACKGROUND: Medea is the daughter of Ares and Aphrodite. She is the goddess of justice. She is judge, jury, and executioner all in one. She punishes those who have not met justice by the hands of a mortal jury, but also intervenes when an innocent person is being punished for a crime they did not commit, or if the crime was to small to be punished by a mortal court, or if the punishment dealt out by a mortal jury was not sufficient. An example: A man caught stealing a loaf of bread to feed his starving family would be met with mercy.

Medea was close to both of her parents up until several years after attaining her title of Goddess of Justice and began taking over her godly duties. Ares especially adored her...that is until a century ago. Medea had to sentence and execute one of the war god's favorite generals for a crime Ares did not believe him guilty of. After that they had a falling out and haven't spoken to each other since. Medea is still close to her mother and often confides in her brother Cupid. But there has always been a hole in her heart where her father once was. A hole that will never be filled unless she and Ares can fill the void that was created between them and learn to love each other once more.
