Saurday July 8, 2000 -- Kyra's 1st birthday was a beautiful, sunny day. We had her party at 2:30 pm after nap time here. As you can see in her picture she was very happy, all smiles. Just family and a close friend were invited. Grammy, Papa and Grandma, Great G'ma B, Linda, Uncle Jamie, Katie, Chris and Angela, and of course Mommy and Daddy, big sister Krystl (who was here visiting for the summer), and big brothers Collin and Logan.
She had fun opening her presents. She got some cute pj's, a pooh outfit, a few pretty flowered onesies, lots of hair accessories and from Mommy and Daddy a rocking chair and baby doll.
She had fun eating the cake as well, she even sampled the frosting when she blew out the candle (actually the wind blew it out). Her cake was decorated with pooh duplo blocks, which she has fun playing with now.
All in all the day was great, everyone had lots of fun. Kyra even learned how to climb up the slide and slide back down on her belly, thanks to her big brothers!! The sad part is our baby is growing too fast. Can't believe she is already 1. We have been so busy her first year just flew by. Although I am sad to see the baby in her grow, I look forward to seeing her grow even more!
