The day that you left me for Heaven on high

I thought that for sure I would curl up and die

The shock, and the numbness, the disbelief

Then came Pain, great sadness and overwhelming grief

My arms ache to hold you

My eyes yearn to see

That beautiful smile

You always smiled for me

I look at your picture

Then stare out in space

Imagining us

In a warm tender embrace

Your still with me my child

I feel you near many days

Comforting, and helping me

In your own special ways

Two years have now passed

And I am still here

Loving and missing you

With each falling tear

With each day that passes
