SENSHI ELEMENTS

These are the Elements, Gifts, and Animal Natures of the 8 Sailor Senshi (plus Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen for good measure), according to *ME*. The Ketsu-in Elements are the physical associations of the senshi (Ketsu-in is Japanese for the material world). These are the elements that are unique to their individual spirit, and are also frequently used in their attacks (Sailor Neptune's Deep Submerge attack, Sailor Jupiter's Oak Evolution attack).

The Nenriki Elements are the spiritual characters of the girls, the senshi, and the princesses (Nenriki is Japanese for the spiritual world). These are the essence of their personalities, which reveal themselves in whatever physical form (Haruka is a racer, Rei is a priestess, Ami is a genius). Even if their physical appearances changed beyond recognition (which they rarely do), we could still recognize them by their spiritual character.

The senshi's Gifts is the supernatural ability which they have been given. These mainly have to do with their avatars as the Sailor Senshi, rather than their present (past to them) avatars. These gifts are mostly used in their attacks (Sailor Moon's Moon Crystal Healing Power, Sailor Mars' Flame Mandala), or to their talismans (Sailor Uranus' Space Sword Blaster, Sailor Neptune's Mirror).

I could argue for days over the senshi's Animal Natures. These are almost completely arbitrary, and reflect my personal impressions of each senshi. Some have to do with their Ketsu-in Element (Sailor Neptune as a fish), some have to do with their Gift (Sailor Mars as a raven), and some have to do with their Nenriki Element (Sailor Uranus as a horse).
