A lot of really coolarific adoptions sites are starting to pop up all over the web - you can adopt just about anyone nowadays! I mean, heck, pretty soon you might even be able to adopt members of the Mulder family (as in from the Mulder stories), like myself. Wow, people besides Mulder and Scully being able to adopt me...now that's pretty cool. Anyways, seeing as these poor, homeless characters are left out lying on the streets of the cyberway, starving, longing for companionship, and looking for a home, I decided "What the heck, why shouldn't I create a home for these folks? After all, they are awesome and all..." So to make a long story short, I'm being charitable and I love these guys anyways. So here they are, the new honorary members of my family.
The Story Behind This Adoption: Okay, I know the stories about who my parents are seem to change every day, but I have come to the conclusion myself that I am the procreated daughter of Clyde Bruckman (rest his soul), Marita Covarrubias (Ice Queen extrordinaire), and some aliens (from Niophita). So, when I found this x-files adoption site, it just seemed fitting to adopt them and give them a home...even though Clyde died before I knew about him and Marita essentially kicked my out...but that's another story entirely. So, well, anyways, here are my parents...glorify them, worship them, and just generally pay them homage.
The Story Behind This Adoption: Well, I love Rent. Almost to the point of obsession. I've never seen the show, but I have the soundtrack and I've practically got it memorized. For example, you know Maureen's monologue, "Over The Moon"? That was my piece for the Spring Coffee House of 2000, and hopefully will be my piece for the 2001 Talent Show. Not to mention I can probably quote each and every song on it, know the relationships between all the people, and disagree with the experts when they say Roger is the main character (it's Mark, you dolts, who do you think narrates the whole bloody thing?). Needless to say, I'm a huge fan, and so when I say these Bohemians sitting on the side of the street, singing and waiting for a home, well, I just had to give them one. Not to mention that they came with a really cool adoption certificate. :-)

The Story Behind This Adoption: Okay, as you may have guessed, over the summer I developed an avid interest in the Harry Potter fandom. I read the books and, on a whim, went websurfing and started reading a bit of fan fiction. After that, and writing a bit of my own, I've become rather attached to some of these guys, especially poor Cedric. Honestly, I don't know why I'm so attached to him, but I am. Even though Cho's widely disliked, I have no reason to dislike her, and so I've become rather fond of the poor girl as well. Lee Jordan is hysterical and, well, in my opinion Ron and Hermione were meant for each other (besides, if Harry got Hermione in the cannon I'd start yelling "Gary Stu! Gary Stu!", start getting real mad, and then sulk). So, yeah, I love these guys. They've grown on me a lot, besides, aren't these chibi pictures of them adorable? Who can resist?!
Those are all the adoptions I have at the moment, but I plan on getting more. I've certainly got enough space for them!
