The ex-New Kid On The Block was at the Alibi Room promoting his new movie Southie (a biopic about South Boston Real Worlder Dave Burns)…HA! Gotcha! Donnie freaked out the Alibi folks by inviting KUBE-FM's entire listening audience to his shindig - but they needn't have worried. To Donnie's visible dismay, only a few aging NKOTB groupies (with king-sized Lynnwood coifs) showed up! Though he was reportedly dissatisfied with the quality of the quail, Mr. W bravely continued "philandering" in his Park Avenue suite until 6:00 am (forcing him to delay the next day's interviews)!
Stranger writer Charles Mudede finally got a moment with Donnie - but between all the "yo"s, "homey"s, and "wazzup"s, the authentically black Mudede found Wahhlberg's speech "difficult to understand" and "very disconcerting" (especially since in the movie Donnie talks like - get this - a white guy)!
